『한 여자가 에메랄드 빛의 해안을 보며 끝도 없이 펼쳐진 백사장을 조용히 걷고 있었다. 한 손에는 카메라를 들고, 다른 한 손으로 새하얀 솜뭉치처럼 보이는 몰티즈의 어깨끈을 쥐며 느릿느릿 그 사이를 가로지르고 있다. 때마침 붉은 석양이 드리우며 그녀의 발걸음을 멈추게 만들었고, 몰티즈와 함께 잠시 백사장에 주저앉아 수평선을 지그시 바라보며 카메라 셔터를 누르기 시작한다. 그 순간, 누군가가 다가와 그 둘을 넓고 든든한 어깨로 감싸주었고, 그렇게 그들은 따스한 속삭임을 주고 받으며 다시 백사장 한쪽 끝을 향해 걸어가기 시작했다.』
삶의 여유 그리고 자유를 꿈꾸다보면 항상 이런 모습들을 그리곤 한다. 바다, 해변, 강아지, 로맨틱한 풍경, 카메라 등등...... 아마도 인생의 축소판이라고 볼 수 있는 여행이란 단어가 나에게 그러한 여유로움과 자유를 안겨주는 주된 요소이지 않을까하는 생각이 든다. 지금으로선 미르를 다시 만날 수 없는 상황이지만 천국에서 나중에 미르와 재회하고, 사랑하는 사람과도 합류하게 되면 저런 따스한 풍경이 펼쳐질 것이라 믿어보며 이 글을 시작해본다.

Dreaming composure of life and liberty, I've always used to draw like this. Ocean, beach, dog, romantic view, camera, etc...... Maybe It seems a word 'travel' can speak microcosm of life is an element that gives composure and liberty like that to me. It's a situation can't meet Mir again for now, but if I meet with Mir later and also join with loved one in heaven, I believe I can see wonderful view like that and start to post this writing.)

상황이 상황인지라 가성비 좋은 여행을 계획하여 이번에도 가보지 못한 4군데의 야구장을 돌아보며 나름 관광지도 알차게 찾아다닐 수 있었다. 여행을 다녀온 이후 미국 동부와 중부, 서부 그리고 한국까지 짧은 기간 안에 넘나드느라 가뜩이나 약해진 체력이 더 떨어지면서 시차 적응에 애를 먹은 건지 아니면 건강이 많이 안 좋아진 것인지 확실한 이유는 알 수 없지만 병원을 수시로 들락날락할 정도로 아프기도 했다. 그래도 이 여행에 대해서 후회는 없는 것이 여행 중에는 아픈 적이 전혀 없었기 때문에 돌아오는 것 자체가 나에게 더 스트레스로 다가오지 않았을까 싶고, 이게 더 설득력 있는 요인으로 느껴진다.
항상 그래왔듯이 관광, MLB 볼파크, 야구, 정리글까지 이렇게 나눠서 기록해볼 예정이고, 30개 구장(도시까지)을 모두 돌아보고 참고 자료를 조금 더 축적한 이후 이 자료들을 가지고 나만의 책을 한번 만들어보고 싶다는 생각이 든다. 판매 목적이 아닌 내 스스로 만들어나간 역사 그 흔적을 남기기 위해서......
(I planned cost-effective travel so my situation isn't good, had looked around 4 ball parks where I have never gone this time and could worthily look tourist attractions as my idea. After going back from travel, I can't know sure cause whether weak strength gets lower and I couldn't adjust jet leg so I had gone all the eastern and central and western area of US within short time or my health got worse pretty much, I've been sick as frequently going in and out of hospital. But the reason that has no regret about this travel is what had never been sick in middle that time at all, I thought coming back here by itself gave any more stresses to me, I feel this is more reasonable cause.
As I did so, I'm going to write dividing to the part of sightseeing and MLB ball parks and baseball and ending story, I've thought I would like to make only my book for using these materials after I all go to 30 ball parks(including cities) and accumulate more reference materials. 13. [2018 MLB TOUR] 텍사스 레인저스 vs 클리블랜드 인디언스 경기 (4/30 ~ 5/2 Game : Texas Rangers vs Cleveland Indians Game)
[야구장 뒤로 보이는 NBA 경기장과 Terminal 타워 (Quicken Loans Arean being NBA stadium and Terminal Tower seen at Progressive Field)]
로저스 센터에 이어 프로그레시브 필드에서 열린 레인저스 어웨이 3연전 경기도 모두 관람할 수 있었다. 내 상황상 갈 수 있는 경기가 딱 이 6경기였기 때문에 나에게 더더욱 소중한 시간들이었는데 이런 때는 참 속절없이 빨리도 지나가더라......
어쨌든 클리블랜드 인디언스는 스몰마켓이지만 좋은 선수들을 뽑고 잘 육성하여 최근 강팀으로 발돋움한 팀이다. 사이영 2회 수상자인 코리 클루버와 앞으로 MLB를 이끌어갈 어린 유격수 프란시스코 린도어, 작년부터 두각을 나타내기 시작한 역시 어린 3루수 호세 라미레즈, 팀에 충성도가 높고 활용도가 좋은 제이슨 킵니스, 좋은 선발투수로 성장했지만 다소 엉뚱한 캐릭터인 트레버 바우어, 현재는 부상으로 빠져 있지만 누구보다 강력한 릴리버 앤드류 밀러까지 정말 좋은 선수들이 가득하며 감독 테리 프랑코나가 좋은 지도력을 보여주고 있다. 원래 미키 캘러웨이(KBO 내 응원팀이었던 현대 유니콘스에 있던 외국인 투수였고, 가끔 인사하며 잘 지냈었던 분 ㅜㅜ)가 클리블랜드 투수 코치 시절 강한 투수력을 만든 일등 공신이었는데 올시즌부터 뉴욕 메츠 감독으로 부임하며 그 공백이 좀 나타나기는 한 것 같았다.

Anyway Cleveland Indians's a small market, but it's a team which stands on tiptoe as strong team recently due to picking up and developing good players well. There're many good players like Corey Kluber being 2 Cy Young winner, Francisco Lindor who is young shortstop to lead MLB, Jose Ramirez who is also young 3B to break out from last season, Jason Kipnis who loves team and utility player, Trevor Bauer who developed good starting pitcher and is zany character, Andrew Miller who is on DL but is strong reliever more than anyone, manager Terry Francona is showing good leadership. Naturally Mickey Callaway(he was a pitcher who belonged Hyundai Unicorns being my team of KBO, sometimes we had talked) was a major person making strong pitchers in his pitching coach, he has been assigned by manager of New York Mets from this season, I think his vacuum appeared in terms of pitching of Cleveland.}

4/30 클리블랜드와의 첫 경기는 아쉽게 2점차로 패하고 말았다. 트레버 바우어에게 타자들이 고전했고, 콜 해멀스도 못 던지지는 않았으나, 수비의 도움을 받지 못해 이른 시기에 강판되어야만 했다. 드류 로빈슨도 그렇지만 프로파 수비 범위 넓은 건 좋은데 송구가 너무 불안해서 종종 공이 어이없이 날아가는 경우가 많은 듯 하다.
트레버 바우어가 내려간 이후 경기 후반 로빈슨 치리노스의 홈런과 주릭슨 프로파의 1타점 2루타, 노마 마자라의 1타점 2루타로 경기를 뒤집는 데 성공했으나, 불펜의 난조로 다시 경기가 뒤집혔다. 노마가 9회초 또 추신수를 불러들이는 안타를 쳤는데 딱 거기서 경기가 마무리되었다. 이왕 간 거 이겼으면 좋았을텐데 불펜 난조도 아쉬웠고(이 때 크리스 마틴은 부상을 당해 DL행), 내야수들 수비도 좀 많이 아쉬웠던 것 같다. 오죽하면 우리 정선 언니가 얘네 수비 왜 이러냐고 탄식을...!!!
{My team lost the game by 2 point in the first away game against Cleveland on Apr 30. Hitters didn't do well to Trevor Bauer, Cole Hamels did good pitching, but he didn't get help of defense and went down from the mound. Drew Robinson was so, Jurickson Profar has unstable throwing and the ball often flies for unexpected way. Or course, his range is pretty good.
After Trevor Bauer went down from the mound, we succeed to make reversal by Chirinos's homer and Jurickson Profar's double with 1 RBI and Nomar Mazara's double with 1 RBI, but the game was turn the game again due to bullpen's slump. Nomar hit a base hit for Choo coming to home plate in the 9th inning, there was nothing after that. It would be good if it won, I felt lacking about bullpen's doldrums(Chris Martin got injured and went DL), defense of infielders made me stuffy. As my friend said something......}

이 날부터는 선수들 훈련 모습을 구경하기 위해 혼자 조용히 이른 시간에 입장했다. 문제는 이른 시간에 들어갈 수 있는 게이트가 정해져 있어서 저렇게 멀리에서 투수들 공 줍는 것만 볼 수 있었다. 망원렌즈로 바꿔서 찍었으면 더 좋았을텐데 여기도 알고 보니 100mm 이상 렌즈 반입 금지여서 경기 전까지는 안 꺼내려고 노력했다. 사실 그 규정을 모르고 마지막 날 빼고는 망원 렌즈를 가지고 갔었는데 출입 검사 때 완전히 헤집지는 않아서 다행이었다.
(I quietly entered in the early time for watching players' practice from this day. The problem's what gate can enter in the early time was set, so I could see that pitchers picked up some balls far away like that. If I took photography to change to a telephoto lens, it would be better, I tried not to take out until before game so I did know later that more than 100mm lens can't enter to bring into a ball park. I didn't know the rule and entered to bring a telephoto lens except the last day in Cleveland, it was fortunately when staffs didn't check deeply at gate.)

중반에 나온 드쉴즈의 솔로 홈런과 프로파의 적시 2루타 2개, 노마의 투런 홈런까지 더해져 쉽게 승리를 가져가는 듯 했으나, 켈라가 너무 오랜만에 등판했는지 4점차에서 동점을 허용하며 연장전에 돌입했다. 덕 피스터는 6.2이닝 2실점으로 잘 던졌었는데 뭔가 여러모로 운이 좀 안 따르는 느낌이 있었다. 실제 BABIP가 낮지는 않은데 기록되지 않은 불운이 좀 짙은 느낌이랄까.....
어쨌든 그렇게 연장전에 돌입했고, 피곤에 찌든 상태에서 보려니 죽을 맛이긴 했으나, 연장 12회에 나온 조이와 아세아의 백투백 홈런으로 다행히 승리했고, 기분좋게 숙소로 돌아갈 수 있었다.
(It looked like my team easily brought victory adding Deshields's home-run in the mid and Profar's 2 doubles RISP and Nomar's 2-run home-run, but Kela allowed tie the score leading 4 point and entered tie-game whether he pitched after a long time. Doug Fister pitched well allowing 2 Rs(0 ER) during 6.2 inning, but I felt unlucky something in some ways. His BABIP isn't actually low, however it exists unwritten unlucky feeling......
Anyway my team entered into tie-game like that, I struggled with my strength due to tiredness, by the way we fortunately won by Joey and Isiah's back-to-back home-runs in the 12th inning, I could pleasantly come back my hotel.)

클리블랜드에서의 마지막 게임이 열린 날이라 선수들이 거의 휴식을 취할 것으로 예상했기 때문에 이 날은 호텔에서 여유롭게 나왔다. 낮 경기라 아주 여유롭고 그렇지는 않았으나, 대충 브런치도 호텔에서 때우고 나온 후에 천천히 헤리티지 파크를 둘러볼 수 있었다.
경기 시간이 다가올때쯤 내 자리에 앉아서 이런저런 구경을 하고 있는데 내가 너무 다른 곳에 몰입했던지 아니면 진짜 덕아웃이 아닌 다른 곳에 있었던지 갑자기 어디선가 내 핸섬가이 노마가 나타났고, 다시 한번 저지에 사인을 받을 수 있었다. 이번에는 두꺼운 매직펜을 건네주며 정확하게 '3'에 사인해달라고 했고, 그도 뭔가 심혈을 기울이는 듯한 느낌으로 사인을 해주었다. 아무래도 본인 유니폼이니 더 그랬겠지?! 사실 물어보고 싶은 것도 있었는데 가슴이 너무 콩닥콩닥 뛰어서 아무 말도 못했다...... 😓😓😓😓😓😓
게다가 작년부터 노마 사진으로 달력을 만들고 있는 만큼 달력에도 사인을 받으려고 했었는데 달력을 꺼낼 정신도 없었던 것 같다.(조이 갈로도...)
원래 내가 조용하긴 해도 꽤 용감하고 과감한 스타일인데 이렇게 좋아하는 사람 앞에만 서면 얼어붙는다. 하아;;; 물론 자주 보면서 친해지면 장난도 많이 치기는 하지만 1년에 6~9경기 보는 게 고작이고, MLB는 KBO보다 진입 장벽이 높아서 사인 한번 받기도 힘들다. 루키 제외하고는 사인 잘해주는 선수들도 잘해야 3연전 중에 1일 정도만 해주니까.......
그래도 매년 한명씩은 사인을 받아오는 것 같다. 정호 제외하고, 2015년 첫 해는 닐 워커에게 사인 받았었고, 2016년에 노마에게 저 유니폼 '0'에 사인 받고, 작년에는 공인구에 다르빗슈, 달력에 토니 바넷 사인을 받았다.
(Because I expected almost players didn't do practice as it was the final game of Cleveland, I slowly got out from my hotel in this day. It wasn't so enough time due to daytime game, but I could slowly look around Heritage Park after going out to eat brunch.
When game time reaches, I sit down my seat and looked here and there, suddenly my handsome guy Nomar appeared somewhere whether I concentrated on other thing or he was really in other place not dugout, I could get his autograph on my jersey once again. I passed over thick magic marker to him and said to give an autograph on exactly '3', he gave an autograph to me like something pretty elaborate. Maybe was he so more cause it is his jersey? Actually I'd like to ask something to him, my heart flutters very much and I could say nothing......😓😓😓😓😓😓
Besides I thought I wanted to get some autographs in my calendars as I've been designing a calendar using Nomar's photos since last year, it was out of my mind, so I had been forgetting a calendar. (Joey Gallo, too)
Even though I'm quiet person, I have pretty brave and daring personality than it sees by face, If I stand up in front of person who I like, I'm frozen like this. Huh;;;;; Of course, if it often meets and gets along well, I become a little mischievous person, but I can watch only 6 to 9 games a year, it isn't so easy getting autograph so there's no enough time and MLB players don't often give an autograph than KBO. Players who often give some autographs do once per 3 games at the maximum except rookies......
By the way, I've been getting some autographs one person by one person. Except Jung Ho Kang, I've gotten autograph from Neil Walker in 2015, autograph on number '0' from Nomar Mazara in 2016, on official baseball from Darvish Yu and a calendar from Tony Barnette last year.)

유일하게 상대팀 투수로 코리 클루버 사진이 들어간 이유는 웬지 이 분만 생각하면 재미있어서이다. 한국에서는 클루봇이라는 별명으로 불리고 있는 것이 이름+로봇의 합성어인데 그만큼 이 분의 포커 메이스는 가히 예술이다. 웃는 모습을 거의 볼 수가 없다. 😂😂😂
뭐 사실 다른 인디언스 선수들 사진도 있기는 한데 그건 앨범에 따로 올릴 예정이다.
어쨌든 클루버가 상대 투수니 당연히 이길 거란 생각은 못했고, 그저 최선을 다해주기를 바랬을 뿐인데 정말 맷 무어는 답이 없는 것 같다. 클루버라 점수 뽑기도 쉽지 않은데 실점이라도 적당히 해야 불펜에서 뭔가 일을 도모해보지, 처음부터 그냥 넉다운 당한 경기였다.
위안이 된 건 우리 노마가 코리 클루버를 상대로 홈런을 쳤다는 것과(3년차인데 이미 클루버에게 2개째) 조이 갈로, 로날드 구즈만 같은 우리 어린 선수들이 나름 선전했다는 것이었다.
{Putting Corey Kluber's photo as only opponent pitcher is why it is funny thinking only him. He is calling a nickname 'Klubot' in Korea, it's a compound 'Klu' of his name and 'bot' of 'Robot', as it is, his poker face is very artistic. It can't almost see his smiling. 😂😂😂

Anyway I didn't surely think we could win cause Kluber was opponent pitcher, I hoped my guys did the their best way, it seems there's no way can save Matt Moore. It wasn't easy to get scores due to Kluber, it would find out a turn way against bullpen if he didn't allow so many scores, but it was a game which knocked down at the first.
The part to get consolation is what my Nomar hit home-run against Kluber(he's the third season in MLB, already hit 2 homers against Kluber) and my young players like Joey Gallo and Ronald Guzman played well.)
이로써 나의 2018시즌 레인저스 직관은 3승 3패로 막을 내렸다. 팀 성적 생각하면 아주 선방한 것이기는 하지만 패배한 다른 경기는 어쩔 수 없었어도 인디언스와의 첫 경기가 좀 많이 아쉬웠던 것 같다. 그래도 뭐 현재 팀승률이 .429이고, 그 때는 .300대였으니 직관 승률 .500이면 꽤 준수한 것이 아닌가 생각하고 있다.
예전에 계획했던 것처럼 올해 9월 추석과 휴가를 합쳐서 다시 한번 우리 노마와 레인저스 경기를 보러가면 좋을텐데 아무래도 많이 힘들지 싶다. 건강이 너무 안 좋아서 일을 못하고 있는 상황이고, 노력은 하고 있으나, 조금 시간이 걸릴 것 같다. 아, 우리 핸섬 가이 계속 보고 싶어서 어쩌냐!!! 😅😢❤️
