다람쥐 쳇바퀴 돌아가듯 매일매일 일상을 마주하다보면 우리 삶의 목적이 무엇인지를 자꾸만 잊어버리게 된다. 사는 게 너무 바빠서 혹은 그냥 습관처럼 하루하루를 살아나가는 상황들이 연출이 되곤 하는데 가끔은 이런 상황에서 벗어나 정말 내가 원하는 존재가 된다거나 원하는 곳으로 마냥 떠나고 싶다는 생각을 가지게 될 때가 있다. 내 인생의 주인공은 바로 나 자신이지만 실상은 다른 사람 아니면 다른 어떤 존재를 위해 살고 있는 게 아닐까하는 허탈함에 빠지기도 하고 말이다.
(We put opposite our daily life as squirrel repeat the same thing forever, we forget for what purpose of our life. Living is so busy or it shows situations which are just living as habit day by day, but sometimes it gets out of these situations and I really become success person or I have thinking that I just leave to hoping place. The owner in my life is myself, but also we fall into a state of lethargy that we actually are living for the other person or something.)
매일매일 일상을 반복하던 어느 날 많은 사람들의 분주한 모습을 지켜보면서 내가 왜 이 세상에 태어났는지 그 이유를 알 순 없어도 목적 의식을 얼마나 가지고 살아가고 있는가에 대해 많은 생각을 했던 적이 있었다. 결국은 내가 진정으로 하고 싶은 일을 하면서 좋아하는 사람들과 함께 행복하고 즐겁게 사는 것이 인생의 목표이지 않을까 생각한다. 아마 다른 이들도 마찬가지일 것이고......

나에게는 그 중의 하나가 바로 이 야구장 투어이다. 내 버킷 리스트의 최상단을 차지하고 있으며, 한-미-일의 모든 야구장을 돌아보는 것이 가장 큰 꿈으로써 한국의 야구장은 새로 지어지는 곳만 가면 종료되고, 이제 남은 건 미국과 일본이다. 일본은 거리가 가깝기도 하고, 이미 반 정도는 돌아봤으니 아마도 멀지 않은 시일 내에 마무리될 것으로 보이는데 미국은 최소 10 ~ 15년은 걸리지 않을까 예상하고 있다.
(One of that is just Baseball park tour to me. That ranks the best of my bucket list, By looking around of all ball park of Korea and USA and Japan is the biggest dream, one of my dream comes true if I go to new ball park in Korea, after remaining things are USA and Japan.
I think Japan's ball park tour finishes in not long time cause it is close from here and I already looked around about half of ball park, but I'm expecting to take at least 10 years to 15 years that I look around for all ball park in USA.)
올해 2월 트로피카나 필드를 다녀온 것에 이어 다시 7월 MLB 야구장 투어를 시작했다. 여름 휴가 기간을 이용하여 8박 10일 정도로 계획했었지만 미르가 아팠던 관계로 여행 도중 7박 8일로 일정을 줄일 수 밖에 없었다. 그래도 짧은 시간 내에 알차게 여행한 듯 하지만......
(I went to Tropicana Field of Tampa Bay Rays in February, in succession I restarted MLB ball park tour in July. I made to plan for 10 days and 8 days, but I have to reduce 7 days and 8 nights in period of travel cause Mir was sick. Nevertheless I think I do good traveling well in short time.)

여정을 보니 야구장과 함께 가장 많이 방문한 곳이 공항인 것 같다. 시카고 오헤어 공항은 이번 2월에도 들렀었던 곳이지만 이번 여행 때만 방문한 공항이 총 6곳이다. 가히 야구장 투어라기보다는 공항 투어가 아닐런지...... ㅋ
(I think the place the most visiting is airport with ball park looking into this itinerary. I dropped in Chicago-Ohare International Airport in February, anyway visiting airport this traveling is total 6 place. Don't think Airport tour instead of Ball park...... @.@)
세 도시를 방문한 만큼 각각의 도시별로 야구장 투어 - 관광 - 야구 게임 이렇게 3가지 주제와 정리글까지 쓰면 아마도 총 10 ~ 12개의 글을 쓰게 될 것 같다. 물론 글에 들어가는 사진보다 더 많은 사진을 보유하고 있고, 이미 편집 정리도 마친 상태이기는 하나, 사진은 블로그 이사 작업을 마친 후에 올리게 되지 않을까 싶다.
(I'll plan to post separating each other cities as visiting 3 cities and 3 subject of park tour - traveling - baseball game and final arrangement writing , I think I post total 10 to 12 writing. Of course I have more photographs than photographs in writing, I already do photos working, but I think I post more photographs after moving from previous blog to this blog.)
4) [MLB PARK TOUR(3)] 캔자스시티 로얄스의 홈구장 카우프만 스타디움(Kauffman Stadium of Home of Kansas City Royals)

캔자스시티는 미주리주에 속하지만 미주리주와 캔사스주의 경계에 있고, 부사장님 말씀에 의하면 도시 자체가 안전한 편이라고 한다. 공항에서 슈퍼 셔틀을 이용했는데 내가 탔던 셔틀 기사분의 말씀에 의하면 캔자스시티는 여름에는 너무 덥고, 겨울에는 너무 추워서 그닥 살기 좋은 곳은 아니라고 한다. 내가 도착한 7/20도 날씨가 엄청 더웠기에 기온을 확인해보니 대충 섭씨 34도 정도였던 것 같다. 그런데 기온만 34도지 햇빛이 너무 쨍쨍하고 따가워서 체감 기온은 더 높았던 거 같은 게 거의 대구 느낌이었다고나 할까... 물론 대구보다 더 건조한 편이라 그건 좀 나은 편이다.
(Kansas City is belong Missouri state, but one locate between Missouri and Kansas state and my vice-president said oneself safe. I got in Super shuttle from airport to staying hotel and the driver told me that Kansas city is so hot in summer and so cold in winter, so this city isn't easy to live. It was so hot in july 20 and I checked it was 34˚C. But I thought it felt high sensory temperature, it almost looked like Daegu... Of course this city is drier than Daegu, so that's better.)
캔사스시티에 도착한 첫 날은 투어를 소화하기에는 시간이 맞지 않았고, 호텔에서 야구장까지 걸어서 갈 수 있는 거리였어서(대충 도보 15~20분) 호텔에서 조금 더 쉬다가 나올 수 있었다. 어차피 모든 구역을 다 돌아볼 수 있는 입장 시간은 경기 시작 1시간 전이었기에 시간도 꽤 남아있었고......
카우프만 스타디움 투어는 캔사스시티에서 묶은 2번째 날 오전 시간을 활용하여 할 수 있었고, 약 1시간 30분 정도 걸리는 Legend tour로 선택했다.
(The first day arriving in Kansas City wasn't enough time to digest tour program and it took 15 to 20 minute by walk from hotel to ball park, I could go to have break time more. Entering time looking around every section was a hours ago beginning game, so time remained pretty much...
The second day staying me could digest Kauffman stadium tour program using morning, I have selected Legends tour for about 1.5 hours.)

인터넷으로 투어 티켓을 구입해도 되기는 했지만 얼리버드 티켓도 알아봐야 할 것 같아 첫 날 여기저기 매표소나 직원들에게 물어보고 다녔는데 역시나 안되는 영어 탓에 얼마나 어렵게 이 티켓을 구했는지 모르겠다. 의사 소통이 잘 안되니까 직원분이 나를 인포데스크에 안내해줬고, 거기서 투어 티켓과 얼리버드 티켓 모두 구입할 수 있었다. 내 발음이 좀 안 좋았나 얼리버드 티켓을 못 알아들으셔서......(아니, 몇 번 말하니 알아듣기는 했는데 거기 직원들 중 일부만 그 티켓 발권 방법을 아는 듯 했음, 그래서 의사 소통이 안된 것...)
{I may buy the tour ticket in internet, but I should find early bird tickets, so first day I wandered from ticket booth to staffs standing entrance, but I hardly found this tickets due to lacking English. There were a problem of communication, staff one guided me to information desk and I could buy all tour ticket and early bird ticket. They didn't understood "early bird ticket" so my pronunciation wan't good well...... (No, they understood to repeat several times, but I think some of staffs knew note issuing method. So it wasn't communication each other...)}
투어를 시작하기에 앞서 팀 스토어 구경을 하기로 했다. 숙소에서 조금 더 일찍 나가야했지만 밀워키에 있을 때처럼 차를 타고 나가야 하는 것도 아니고, 가까운 거리였기에 느긋하게 준비하고 나올 수 있었다. 더 이른 시간대를 선택할 수도 있었지만 정선 언니가 도착할 시간과 맞추는 게 나을 것 같았고 말이다.
이 곳도 밀러 파크와 마찬가지로 방대한 규모를 자랑하고 있었고, 정말 사고 싶은 상품들도 많았던 것 같다. 역시 내 응원팀이 아니었다는 게 안타까울 뿐...
(Before starting park tour, I looked around in Royals team store. I should go at my hotel more than early, but it had to get in the car and it was near distance to Kauffman stadium, so I could go slowly. I could select more early time, but I thought better it fits arriving time with my friend.
This made a display of huge scale as Miller park and I'd like to buy a lot of things. Also it unfortunately wasn't my favorite tea...)

그나저나 진짜 여태까지 야구장 투어하면서 샀던 것들 다 진열해두고 싶은데 빨리 나가서 살고 싶다...!!!
(Of course I bought some souvenirs here. it has many products of pet and I bought one thing, but Mir don't know how to play for toys. No, just sluggardly... :)

이제는 본격적으로 야구장 투어를 할 시간......
영어를 잘 못 알아들어서 좀 걱정이기도 했고, 평일이라 사람이 너무 없을까봐 걱정했었는데 그래도 사람이 아예 없었던 건 아니라서 다행이다 싶었다. 일단 Hall of fame에 들어가서 로얄스 팀의 역사와 레전드 선수들의 모습을 볼 수 있게 약간의 시간을 준다.
내가 MLB를 본격적으로 좋아하기 시작한 게(90년대 후반부터 2000년대 초반에도 좋아했지만 잠시 떠나있었으니...) 다르빗슈가 텍사스에 입단했던 2011년 후반부터였을 것이다. 그래서 당시 텍사스 레인저스와 세인트루이스 카디널즈의 월드시리즈도 대충 보고 있었고, 너무 불행하게 진 팀이 텍사스였어서 그것때문에 마음이 참 끌려있던 상태였는데 여기에 다르빗슈까지 입단하면서 지금보다도 그 때 더 열심히 보고 좋아했던 것 같다.
그래서 메이저리그의 역사도 그렇고, 각 팀의 역사는 당연히 잘 모르는데 내가 영어만 잘했다면 정말 유익한 시간이 되었을 것 같다. 그래도 대충 로얄스의 작년 월드시리즈 준우승 과정까지의 자료도 꽤 있어서 너무 멀게만 느껴지진 않은 듯 했다.

I worried I can't listen English well and there weren't people, anyway there weren't fortunately a little people. Once if you enter here, they give a few time to see Royals team's history and legend players in the Hall of fame.
To start like me for MLB in earnest was from late of 2011 that Darvish entered to Texas Rangers. I was watching world series between Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals in 2011, I was feeling pity about Texas what unfortunately lost game and Darvish entered this team, so I watching Texas game very hard in the time and I love it.
So I don't naturally know major league's and each team's history, but if I can do English very well, it will spend useful time. Anyway I thought I didn't feel so far that there were a lot of Royals' data process of until second place in the world series last year.)

처음엔 여자 직원분이 나와서 안내하더니 중간에는 남자 직원분이 나와서 외야에 있는 구조물부터 설명해주기 시작했다. 카우프만 스타디움은 외부의 모습보다 내부의 모습이 더 특색있고 아름다운데 아마 그런 부분들을 설명해주는 것 같았고, 아이들이 신나게 뛰어놀 수 있는 공간도 있었다. 특히 분수대(경기 중에 유심히 지켜보면 더 좋다.)와 외야 전광판 자체만 봐도 아름답고, 버드와이저 존은 바에서 야구를 즐길 수 있는 느낌이다.
게다가 카우프만 스타디움도 마찬가지로 비대칭적인 구조를 가지고 있는 것 같다. 정면에서 본 것 같은데도 비율이 약간 달라서 조금 더 이동했지만 별 소용이 없었으니까...
(At first staff women guided changing man in the middle and he started to explain some structures in the outfield. Inside of Kauffman stadium is more beautiful and special than outside of stadium and it looked like to explain like it, there were some space where children play. Especially fountain and an electrical scoreboard is very beautiful by themselves, Budweiser feels enjoying baseball at bar.
In addition Kauffman stadium seems to have asymmetric frame, too. I was sure to see the front, but its rate was a little different, so I moved next to, but it seemed similar to previous space.)

불펜을 지나 내야쪽으로 이동했고, 평소에 들어가 볼 수 없는 구역에 들어갔다. 기아자동차가 카우프만 스타디움에 스폰을 하고 있나보다. 이름이 기아 다이아몬드 존이었으니...... 우리나라 스카이박스 같은 곳이라고 보면 되는데 사실 가격은 훨씬 더 비싸다. 그나마 로얄스가 인기팀은 아니라서 나은 거지 그래도 우리 입장에서는 매우 비싸게 느껴질 것이다.
그 다음으로는 미디어사들이 사용하는 공간으로 이동했다. 경기가 한 눈에 내려다보이는 곳에 위치해있고, 야구장 정면샷을 찍기에도 상당히 좋은 위치였다.
(We moved to infield zone along bullpen and we got in section not entering usually. Kia motors is supporting for Kauffman stadium. The name of section was Kia diamond club...... It take thinking like skybox of stadium in out country, but this is more expensive than our country. Even so it feels better than the other ball park by expenses so Royals is more popular team in MLB, it's very expensive by our position.
The next time, we moved a space where media uses. It located where looks down at one view, it was pretty taking picture for ball park's frontage.)

기자회견 장소로 이동한 후 구장 투어의 하이라이트이자 실제 로얄스 선수들이 사용하고 있는 덕아웃을 들어갈 수 있었다. 진짜 특별히 초대되어 들어가는 거 아니면 들어갈 수 있는 장소가 아닌지라 여기서 기념 촬영이 많이 이뤄지는 것 같다.
또한 일본 야구장의 덕아웃도 들어가봤지만 뭔가 탁 트인 느낌을 주는 곳은 미국 야구장인 것 같다. 규모는 아마 일본이나 미국이나 비슷할텐데 거긴 폐쇄형 돔구장이 많으니 더 답답하게 느껴져서 그런지도 모르겠다.
덕아웃 한 쪽에는 불펜이나 기타 다른 곳에 연락할 수 있는 전화가 설치되어 있고, 미국인들이 대체적으로 키가 커서 그런가 스탠드가 참으로 높다. 뭐 내가 작아서 그런 것도 있지만... ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
(After moving press conference room, we could enter dugout where ball park tour's highlight and using really Royals players. we can't enter exception getting in special inviting, so it looks like having photo op very much in here.
Also I think to give open view is ball park in America as compare with one in Japan. The scare will be similar all, there feels stuffier so many closed dome stadium.
It has several telephone what connects the other room in one side of dugout, stand is so high cause American is tall. Maybe I am short...... :) )

이 곳을 마지막으로 드디어 야구장 투어는 종료되었는데 정말 1시간 30분 조금 넘게 걸린 것 같다. 그만큼 방대한 규모를 가지고 있기도 하고, $17 의 가격이 전혀 아깝지 않았다. 생각해보니 일본에서 했던 투어보다 여기가 더 오래걸린 듯......
정선 언니를 만나기 위해 걸음을 재촉하려다가 시간이 조금 남아서 외부도 다시 한번 찍어보았다. 사실 내부가 너무 멋있어서 그런거지 외부도 만만치 않게 멋있다.
역시 쉬지 않고 거의 2시간 동안 걷는다는 것은 쉽지 않은 일이었지만 그래도 즐거웠던 시간이었다. 다른 구장도 어느 정도 비슷한 프로그램이기는 하지만 야구장 모습 자체가 달라서 항상 재미있는 것 같다.
(Finally a ball park tour finished that this place was the last and it took a little more 1.5 hours. This has a huge scale and I thought the price '$17' didn't begrudge. On reflection this took a long time more than ball park tour in Japan......
Before I hurry up to meet with my friend Catherine, it has a little time to me and I took some pictures outside of stadium. In fact inside of park is awesome, outside of park is not to sneeze at.
It wasn't easy to walk for almost 2 hours not to take a rest, by the way it was exciting time. The other ball park has some similar program, but I think I am exciting so the other park is different in themselves.)
