버킷 리스트를 달성하기 위해 달려온지도 벌써 3년째......
미르가 떠난 후 이제 나에게 남은 건 MLB 야구와 이 버킷 리스트 뿐이라 어려운 상황임에도 불구하고 올해도 나의 인생 계획을 실행해 나가기로 했고, 그렇게 4월 11일부터 4월 22일까지 다소 짧은 기간동안 미국 캘리포니아 주로 여행을 떠났다. 2015년은 플로리다 템파, 밀워키, 캔사스시티, 피츠버그 등 미국 중남부 지역, 2016년 작년은 필라델피아와 피츠버그(2번째), 마이애미, 텍사스 주 알링턴과 달라스 그리고 포트워스, 워싱턴 DC, 뉴욕, 세인트루이스 등 미국 동남부지역과 중부지역을 다녀왔으니 캘리포니아 주는 이번이 첫 여행이었던 것이다.
적당한 더위는 몰라도 원체 무더위를 싫어하는 편이라서 캘리포니아 지역은 나중으로 계속 미뤄두고 있었다. 허나, 마침 4월이라는 이른 시기였고, 정치적으로 민감한 미국 상황상 그래도 리버럴이 많은 캘리포니아 주가 나름 편안할 것 같아 어렵지 않게 결정하게 되었다.

Because the thing that lately remains to me after Mir passed away is just this bucket list, even though it's tough situation to me, I decided to execute my life plan likewise this year, left to California of USA for a little period from Apr, 11 to Apr, 22 like that. I've been to central-southern state of USA where were Tampa(Florida) and Milwaukee(Wisconsin) and Kansas City(Missouri) and Pittsburgh(Pennsylvania) and etc in 2015, to eastern-southern and central state of USA where were Philadelphia and Pittsburgh(the 2nd time) of Pennsylvania and Miami(Florida) and Arlington and Dallas and Fort Worth(Texas) and Washington DC and New York and St. Louis(Missouri) and etc last year in 2016, tour of California state has been the first journey this year.
I naturally hate swelter a lot except suitable heat weather, so I've been postponed California tour later. But It was finally early time being April and it looked like comfortable atmosphere cause I thought California state has a lot of liberals, so I could decide not difficulty.)

더 많은 관광지를 방문할 계획이었으나 나리타 공항에서 환승하는 도중 delay되었고, LA 공항에서 애너하임까지 이동할 때 러시아워로 인해 오랜 시간이 걸렸으며 체크인 시간까지 지연되는 등 첫날부터 여러가지 이슈들로 인해 체력적으로 너무 지쳐서 애너하임에서는 아주 중요한 일정만 남기고 다 취소해야 했다. 주목적은 MLB 야구장 투어였기에 과감하게 버릴 수 있었던 것이다.
항상 하던대로 여행-볼파크 투어-야구 경기 등 세 챕터로 나눠 리뷰를 쓸 예정이지만 샌디에고 여행, 샌프란시스코 여행, 펫코 파크 투어, AT&T 파크 투어, 텍사스 레인저스의 애너하임 어웨이 게임, 다저 스타디움과 경기, 샌프란시스코 자이언츠와 콜로라도 로키스 게임, 텍사스 레인저스의 오클랜드 어웨이 게임, 정리까지 중요한 이벤트 위주로 글을 쓰게 되면 대충 13개 정도로 마무리지을 수 있을 것 같다.
(I planed to visit much more tourist attractions, but I was so tired physically by some issues cause it was delayed transfer to LAX in Narita Intl' Airport and It was rush hour when I moved from LAX to Anaheim, it was delayed even check-in, I cancelled all tour schedules except only very important schedule in Anaheim. Main goal was MLB ball Park tour, so I could dramastically erase.
I'm going to post reviews to divide three chapters of tour-ball park tour-baseball game like I always did, however I'll be able to end about 13 writing if it posts San Diego tour, San Francisco tour, Petco Park tour, AT&T Park tour, away games of Texas Rangers in Anaheim, Dodger stadium and game, games of San Francisco and Colorado Rockies, away games of Texas Rangers in Oakland, a close writing.)

드디어 길고 길었던 여행 리뷰의 마지막 글을 써본다. 항상 혼자 여행을 다니다보면 우여곡절이 많이 생기기 마련이지만 그것 또한 여행의 묘미이고, 하나하나의 에피소드가 추억의 페이지에 각인되기 마련이다.
원래 말하는 것보다 글쓰는 것을 좋아하기도 하고, 사진 촬영 또한 좋아하기에 이런 조각을 모으고 모아 매번 리뷰를 쓰고 있지만 이 모든 것들이 소중한 추억이 됨은 물론 나의 역사로 기록되는 것이 꽤 의미있는 것 같은 느낌이다. 물론 한 글자 한 글자 써내려가는 것이 때로는 간단하기도, 때로는 까다롭기도 한데 그래도 나에겐 재미있는 작업임에 분명하다.
(Finally I write the last post of travel review so long. I always leave somewhere alone and it happens a lot of vicissitude, but that is travel's subtlety and episode one by one carves memory's page.
I like to write posting more than talking and also like taking photography, so I gather pieces like this and am writing review every time, but it feels pretty significant that is recorded my history with these everything to be valuable memory. Of course, continuously writing one letter by one letter is sometimes simple or complicated, anyway it's sure interest work to me.)

이번에도 역시 「인천-LA / 샌프란시스코-인천」 이렇게 입출국지를 다르게 끊었는데 그럼에도 불구하고 일년 중에 4월이 비수기라서 그런지 항공권 가격이 저렴한 것 같았다. 물론 일반적으로 주말보다는 평일이 더 저렴하기는 하나, 휴가나 방학이 겹치는 기간은 평일이어도 꽤 비싼 것 같았다. 전에는 직장 때문에 성수기에만 움직일 수 있었으니 이렇게 저렴한 가격으로 갈 수 있는지에 관해서 이 때까지는 알지 못했다.
게다가 이번엔 미 서부 캘리포니아 지역만 돌아다녀서 굳이 국내선을 탈 필요도 없었다. 애너하임-샌디에고, 샌디에고-LA는 암트랙으로 이동했고, 애너하임-샌프란시스코는 메가 버스로 이동했으니 여행 경비도 많이 아낄 수 있었고 말이다. 특히, 메가 버스의 경우 한달 전에 미리 날짜 체크해서 오픈하자마자 $1짜리(세금과 좌석지정비 포함하면 $4) 티켓을 구할 수 있었다.
몇 곳은 어플로 패스를 구입해도 되었지만 샌디에고에서는 아예 기계에서 교통카드 자체로 뽑았고, 샌프란시스코는 종이 카드 형태로 뽑아 충전해서 사용하였으며 하루 관광만 한 날은 뮤니 패스포트를 구입하였다. 뮤니 패스포트를 사면 뮤니 레일, 버스, 케이블카 등 샌프란시스코 내에 있는 거의 모든 대중 교통편을 정해진 기간 안에 무제한으로 이용할 수 있다.
(I bought differently arrival and departure places 「Incheon-LA / San Francisco-Incheon」 like this, even though April is off-season in a year, it looked like airline ticket was cheap. Of course, weekday's generally cheaper than weekend, in case of the overlapping period with vacation, it looked like pretty expensive. I could move only peak season due to work before, I didn't know so far what I can cheaply go to travel overseas like this.
Besides I didn't obstinately need to go aboard an domestic airline so I looked around only California region of the western America this time. I moved from Anaheim to San Diego and from San Diego to LA by Amtrak, used from Anaheim to San Francisco by Mega bus, I could save travel expenses a lot. Especially I had checked date before a month in case of Mega bus and I could buy $1 ticket($4 including tax and seat designation fee) as soon as bus ticket opens in Mega bus website.
It mays purchase public transportation pass by mobile application in some places, but I picked card form from vending machine in San Diego, charged and used to pick paper card form from vending machine in San Francisco, purchased Muni Passport in a day to do only tour. If it purchases Muni Passport, it can freely use almost all public transportation of Muni Rail and Muni bus and cable car and etc in San Francisco within fixed period.)

샌디에고역이나 발보아 파크 비지터 센터 그리고 샌프란시스코 파웰역에 있는 비지터 센터에 가면 지도를 얻을 수 있는데 저 한국어판 지도는 샌프란시스코에서 뮤니 패스포트를 살 때 직원이 국적 확인 후 내어준다. 사실 이 지도를 보면서 돌아다니지는 않았는데 다음에 갈 때는 저 지도를 미리 읽고 여행 계획을 짜면 좋을 것 같다는 생각이 든다.
(It can get these maps if it goes to San Diego station or Balboa Park Visitor Center and Visitor Center in Powell station of San Francisco, staff gives that Korean map after confirming nation when it buys Muni Passport. Honestly I didn't look around to see that map, but I think good if it reads that map's content before travel and plans travel course next time.)

이번에는 총 8게임을 관람했으나, 원래 계획은 9게임을 보는 것이었다. 샌프란시스코에 도착했던 날의 경기도 보려고 했는데 낮경기라서 경기 시작 전에 들어갈 수 없었고, 버스도 좀 늦게 도착한 터라 호텔에서 쉬기만 했다. 구장 투어도 더 많이 하면 좋았을텐데 무리한 일정이었고.....
(I watched total 8 games this time, original plan was watching 9 games. I tried to watch also game of the day arriving in San Francisco, I couldn't enter before due to daytime game, only took a rest in hotel so I arrived due to bus's delayed. I'd be good if I do ball park tour more, my schedule was so tight......)

나름 간단하게 사려고 노력했는데도 생각보다 기념품을 구입하는 비용이 많이 든 것 같다. 그래서 원래 경비보다 약간 오버하기도 했고.....
LA 다저스와 LA 에인절스는 따로 마스코트가 있는 것 같지는 않아서 그냥 대표로 인형 하나씩만 사왔고, 기념구도 나름 팀의 색깔이 잘 드러나는 디자인으로 골라왔다. 샌디에고 파드레스 마스코트는 따로 있는데 저게 귀여웠고, 디즈니랜드 핀은 애너하임에서 묵었던 숙소 호스트가 기념으로 선물해줬으며 상황상 에인절스 기념컵만 사올 수 있었다.

I bought at each one doll so LA Dodgers and LA Angel haven't mascot in isolation, selected a souvenir ball of design that express team's color. San Diego Padres has a mascot in isolation, but that was cute, Host of lodging staying in Anaheim gave Disneyland pin by a gift to me, I could buy only souvenir cup of Angels by my situation.)

오클랜드 에이스는 스톰퍼라 불리는 녹색 코끼리 마스코트를 사용하고 있다. 샌프란시스코 자이언츠의 전신 뉴욕 자이언츠 감독인 존 맥그로가 이 팀을 흰 코끼리라고 놀렸다가 이에 화가 난 당시 감독 겸 구단주 코니 맥이 아예 흰 코끼리를 마스코트로 만들었고, 월드 시리즈에서 자이언츠를 상대로 승리해버렸다.
그리고 샌프란시스코 자이언츠는 루 씰이라 불리는 물개를 마스코트로 사용하고 있다.
http://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/sf/fan_forum/louseal.jsp 사이트에 루 씰에 대한 프로필이 아주 잘 나와 있는데 길어서 다 읽지는 않았고, 간단하게 보면 풀네임은 루기 프란시스코 씰, 1995년생, 영화보기와 저녁 많이 먹기, 댄스, 수영, 야구 등 스포츠 활동 등이 취미라고 한다.
근데 왜 자이언츠 경기 볼 때 기념컵을 안 사왔는지 모르겠다. 빗 속에서 사진을 찍으며 경기를 본 것이 정신이 없었는지 깜박했던 것 같다.
그리고 골든 게이트 브릿지에서 산 초콜렛은 양이 좀 적긴 하나 케이스 자체를 재활용 할 수 있어서 좋았고, 저 얇은 기라델리 초콜렛 안에 캐러멜이 듬뿍 들어있어 꽤 맛있었다. 생각보다 많이 달지도 않았어서 다음에 또 가게 되면 더 많이 사오고 싶다는 생각이 들었다.
(Oakland A's is using a green elephant mascot called Stomper. John McGraw being manager of New York Giants that was previous San Francisco Giants girded white elephant about this team, manager and owner Connie Mack who was mad in this time made a mascot using white elephant, they won opposite Giants in World series.
And San Francisco Giants is using seal called Lou Seal for mascot. On http://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/sf/fan_forum/louseal.jsp website, it can see profile about Lou Seal, but I didn't all read so long, to see simply, his full name's Luigi Francisco Seal, his birth year's in 1995, his interests are watching movie and eating dinner a lot and dancing and swimming and activity and watching baseball and etc sports.
But I had no idea why did I buy a souvenir cup when I watched Giants' game. I thought whether I was distracted that took some pictures and watched a game in rain.
Also chocolate which had bought at Golden Gate Bridge is a little quantity, I liked so I can recycle case by itself, was pretty delicious cause caramel is full in thin Ghirardelli chocolate. It wasn't sweet a lot than I thought, I think I want to buy it much more if I go there next year.)
[MLB 공인구에 받은 다르빗슈 사인(A Darvish Yu's sign getting public ball in MLB)]
경기 중에 파울볼이 날아오면 난 절대 잡으려고 노력하지 않는다. 카메라를 들고 있기도 하고, 괜히 잘못 잡으면 다치니까 글러브 끼지 않는 한은 항상 피하려고 노력한다. 이 공은 콜리세움 구장에서 한 직원분이 나에게 주신 것이다. 계속 입장 시간에 들어가니 오늘도 또 왔냐며 내 자리 근처에 있는 직원분이 반갑게 맞이해 주셨는데 마지막날은 나를 찾으셨는지 자리 근처가 아닌 덕아웃 근처에 있는 나에게 오셔서 이 공을 선물로 주고 본인이 맡은 구역으로 다시 이동하신 것이다. 거의 새 것이나 다름없는 공인구라 웬지 더 챙겨주시려고 한 거 같아 매우 감동이었다.
그래서 사인해주고 있는 다르빗슈가 보이길래 잠시 고민하다가 바로 중앙 쪽의 덕아웃으로 가서 사인을 받았다. 다르빗슈가 텍사스 레인저스에서는 사인을 제일 잘해주는 선수인 거 같고, 내가 본 다른 팀의 선수들을 통틀어 봐도 다섯 손가락 안에 들만큼 팬 서비스가 좋은 것 같던데 그래도 진짜 다르빗슈한테 사인받는 건 상상도 못한 일이었다. 워낙 쑥쓰러움을 많이 타서 사인 요청을 잘 못하기도 하고.......
그래도 어찌되었든 다른 사람들 받는 그 사이 나도 이 공을 내밀었고, 날 쓱 한번 보더니 사인을 해주고 나에게 다시 살짝 던져주었다. 허나, 그 공이 다시 덕아웃으로 들어가서 그 다음에는 본인도 좀 멋쩍어하며 던지지 않고 손으로 직접 전해준... 그래서 살짝 손이 닿았는데 더 기분이 좋았던 순간이었다. 참 손이 따뜻한 사람인 듯.... :)
이번 여행은 이것만으로도 보람있는 여행이었다고 할 수 있을 것 같다. 매번 미국 갈 때마다 은근 사인은 하나씩 받아오는 것 같다. 작년에는 가장 좋아하는 노마한테 받고, 올해는 또 내가 좋아하는 다르빗슈한테 받고... 흐흐흐 ~_~
(I never try to catch if foul ball flies to me in play ball. I always try to avoid except wearing glove so I hold camera up and can hurt somewhere if it properly catches. One staff game this ball in Coliseum stadium. I continuously entered open time and he who was working near my seat has welcomed me, he came to me being near dugout not near my seat and gave this ball to me and moved to his area again whether he has found me. I was very impressive so it looked like he took more to me whether this ball was almost a new public ball of MLB.
Therefore I agonized for a minute and got his autograph near the dugout of center way so it saw Darvish who was signing autographs. I think Darvish Yu gives the most autograph in Texas Rangers' players and is fan-friendly player in the top fifth though including another team's players who I've seen, but I couldn't really imagine that I got his autograph. I don't ask an autograph well due to shy character......
Anyway I held out the ball to him between getting autographs another fans, he saw me once and gave one, slightly threw a ball to me again. But the ball entered into dugout again, so he was being awkward and directly held out the ball not throwing... So his hand slightly touched with my hand, It was better moment. It looks like he is person who has pretty warm hand... :)
I think I can say this travel was significant one even if it is only this thing. Whenever I go to USA every time, I think I get one autograph. I got it from Nomar Mazara who is my favorite player last year, from Darvish Yu who I like too this year... 😊❤️😄)
[금문교(Golden Gate Bridge)]
이번 여행에서도 짧은 인연들이 있었고, 그들 덕택에 즐거운 시간이 되었던 것 같다. 현재 미국 대통령이 트럼프라 입국 심사를 받을 때 기존보다도 더 긴장을 하면서 들어갔는데 직원분이 친절하게 대해주셔서 편하게 들어갈 수 있었다. 뭔가 작업 멘트 비스무리한 말이긴 했으나, 그 분도 농담, 나도 농담이었다고 생각했기에 그냥 여행의 시작을 기분좋게 했던 것 같다.
그리고 항상 미국 들어갈 때마다 느끼지만 레이디 퍼스트가 습관화 되어있는 민족이라 뭔가 항상 배려를 받는데 이것에 대해 꽤 감사한 마음을 가지게 되며, 개인주의적인 성향이 강한 사람들이어도 눈 마주칠 때마다 미소를 지으며 인사하는 것도 습관, 그러면서 가끔 서로 농담 주고 받는 것도 일상적인 일이라 참 재미있는 곳이다.
야구장에서 잠깐 스친 열정적인 뉴욕 메츠팬 부자는 나와 비슷한 코스로 MLB 야구장 투어를 하고 있었고, 애플 스토어에서 잠깐 스친 커플은 내 카메라를 보며 자연스러운 모델 포즈를 취해 나에게 웃음을 주었으며 앞에 언급한 오클랜드 구장 직원분의 소중한 선물 덕분에 다르빗슈 사인도 받을 수 있었고, 샌프란시스코 케이블카에서 우연히 만난 이쁜 한국인 친구와도 짧은 시간 즐거운 대화를 나눌 수 있었다. 그 친구는 중남미 여행을 한 후 한국 들어가는 중간 환승지가 샌프란시스코라 하루 관광을 왔다고 했었는데 MLB 투어가 종료되면 제일 가고 싶은 곳이 칠레라 중남미 여행에 대한 좋은 정보를 들었다. 물론 그 친구는 멕시코, 쿠바, 도미니카 공화국, 페루 이런 곳을 갔다고 했던 거 같은데 멕시코, 쿠바와 도미니카도 가보고 싶긴 해서 매우 흥미로웠고, 참 나보다도 훨씬 더 용기있는 친구라는 생각이 들었다.
그리고 역시 가장 기억에 남는 사람은 펜실베니아 베들레헴 지역에 살고 있다는 데이빗 월리스란 분이었다. 저 골든 게이트 브릿지에서 인증샷 하나를 남기기 위해 사진 촬영을 부탁했다가 가는 동선이 겹쳐 함께 다리를 건너게 되었던 것이다. 비즈니스차 샌프란시스코를 방문했다가 이 분도 취미인 사진 촬영을 위해 쉬는 날 이 곳에 왔다면서 여러 이야기를 했고, 원래 걸어서 돌아가려고 했었으나 이 분 덕택에 공짜로 택시를 얻어 타고 다시 골든 게이트 브릿지의 시작점으로 돌아올 수 있었다. 스코틀랜드계 미국인이라 꼭 가고 싶은 곳이 스코틀랜드라고 하시더라. 정확히는 안 물어봐서 모르겠으나, 핏줄이 그 쪽이고, 태어나고 자란 곳은 미국이라니 본인의 뿌리를 찾고 싶은 그 마음이 충분히 공감이 되었다.
헤어질 때 아쉬움의 인사를 하며 메일 주소를 서로 주고 받았고, 한 2번 정도 연락을 한 거 같은데 솔직히 연락이 쭉 이어질지는 잘 모르겠지만 그래도 좋은 추억을 쌓게 해준 데이빗에게 참 고마웠고, 감사 인사도 메일로 전했다.
(There was some short relations this travel, I spent joyful time due to them. When it gets immigration, I was being more nervous than before so their president is Donald Trump these days, staff was kind, I could comfortably enter there. It was word like pickup line, but I agreeably started this travel so I thought he did joke and I did joke.
And the thing that I feel whenever I go to USA, I always get something solicitude from them cause by making lady first a way of life, I think pretty thankful about this thing, even though they have individualistic character, it has habit that smiles and greets whenever it catches someone's eye, is daily life that sometimes share a joke at the same time, so this's the interesting place.
Passionate Father and son being New York Mets fan that I seen for a minute were touring MLB ball Park of course such me, couple who I seen for a minute in Apple Store saw my camera and posed like natural model, gave laugh to me, I could get Darvish's autograph due to valuable present of Coliseum Stadium's staff, I could have interesting talk with pretty Korean girl who coincidently met in Cable Car for a minute. She was touring a day cause her stopover was San Francisco after Center and South America's travel, the place that I want to go the most is Chile if my MLB tour finishes, I heard good information about Center and South America's travel. Of course, I remembered she told going to Mexico and Cuba and Dominican Republic and Peru and etc, it was very interesting so I want to go to Mexico and Cuba and Dominican Republic, It seemed she had much more courage than me.
And someone who I remember the most was David Wallace who is living in Bethlehem, PA. I had asked to take photography for cherishing a photo about me, I and he walked the Golden Gate Bridge due to same route. He talked me to visit San Francisco for business and to come at Golden Gate Bridge for taking photography being his hobby in a off-day, I tried to return by walk, but I could ride Taxi on free and return beginning point of Golden Gate Bridge again due to him. He have told he is Scottish-American, so certainly want to go to Scotland. I don't know well, but I was sympathized about the mind that want to find his root because his lineage is Scotland and the place he was born and is living in USA.
We talked say-good bye and gave and got e-maill address at each other, I thought we game and got e-mail about twice at each other, Honestly I'm not sure it can continuously contact, but I appreciated pretty to David who made a good memory and this heart told him by e-mail.)
여러 시행 착오도 많이 겪은 만큼 힘든 일도 있었지만 좋은 인연들을 만나면서 행복하고 보람있는 여행을 하고 온다는 점에 있어서 항상 주님께 감사드리고 있으며 앞으로도 이런 감사한 마음을 가지고 내 버킷 리스트를 달성해나가려 한다. 내 추억과 내 역사가 될 조각들이 나중에 큰 빛을 발휘할 날이 올 것이라 믿으며......
(It happened difficult things as I've experienced some trial and error, I'm always appreciating to my God about to meet good relations and to do happy and rewarding travel, I'll try to achieve my bucket list having thankful heart like this in succession. I believe that pieces to become my memory and history will shine brilliantly in the future......)
