항상 글을 쓸 때면 첫 단어를 어떻게 시작해야 할지 많은 고민을 하게 되고, 그렇게 첫 줄 그리고 첫 문단만 완성하는데도 꽤 오랜 시간이 걸리는데 이번에도 여지없이 그런 긴 시간을 보내고 나서야 이렇게 첫 마침표를 찍어본다. 2016년의 끝자락에 다다른 지금에서야 지난 9월 중순부터 10월 중순까지 다녀온 27일간의 미국 여행에 대한 소소한 글을 시작하는 것이 다소 게을러 보이기는 하지만 말이다. 객관적으로는 매우 소소한 글이 되겠지만 내 개인적으로는 아주 큰 과업일지도 모르겠고......
어쨌든 작년부터 시작한 나의 버킷리스트 중 가장 달성하기 힘든 이 꿈을 이루기 위해 올해도 빠른 시점부터 많은 준비를 했고, 예상보다 긴 시간동안 MLB 야구장을 비롯한 각 도시의 명소도 함께 둘러볼 수 있었다. 아마 최소 몇 년간 다시 올 수 없는 소중한 기간이었을지도 모르겠다. 이 나라에서 일을 하려면 주말을 낀 7일 여행가는 것도 버겁기 때문에 그 추억 하나하나를 기록으로 남겨보고 싶다.
(When I always write, I agonizes a lot about how does first word start, it takes so long time what it completes only first line and first paragraph, I put the first dot after long time like that. It seems to be lazy a little what I start trivial writing about journey for 27 days being from the middle of September to the middle of October in the present time to reach the end of 2016. Maybe this becomes trivial writings objectively, but is great task in personality......
Anyway I prepared a lot from the early time this year for achieving this most difficult dream in my bucket list starting from last year, I can look around famous places of each other cities with MLB ball parks for long period than I expect. Maybe that was valuable period which can't experience the several years at least. I'd like to remain the memories one by one because If I try to work, it's so difficult tour of 7 days including weekend.)

여행 기간에 비해 다녀온 곳이 많지는 않지만 빡빡하게 일정 소화하는 것 자체를 별로 좋아하지도 않고, 주된 목표는 MLB 야구장 투어이기 때문에 그 시간을 제외한 나머지 시간을 활용할 수 있는 장소 위주로 다녀왔다. 여기서 몇몇 곳은 재방문할지도 모르니 그 때 못 돌아본 곳을 가면 될 것 같다.
올해 야구장 6곳을 돌아보면서 작년부터 지금까지 총 10곳을 돌았는데 앞으로 20곳이 더 남았고 거기에 더해 최소 3곳의 신구장이 건설될 예정이라 언제 이 꿈을 모두 이룰지는 모르겠다. 진짜 죽기 전까지 다 갈 수 있을까......
(I couldn't go many tourist attractions to compare journey period, but cause I don't like to digest intensive schedule and main bucket list is MLB ball park tour, I went mainly places where can use extra time except that time. It doesn't know I revisit several places in that ones, so I think I go omission at that time.
I went 6 ball parks this year and total 10 ball parks from last year to now, it remains 20 ones in the future, besides it will be constructed 3 new ones at least, I have no idea when this dream all comes true. Can I really go every MLB ball parks until I pass away in my life......)
이번에도 각각의 도시마다 관광 명소, MLB 야구장, MLB 게임 이렇게 세 가지의 주제로 글을 쓸 것이지만 알링턴 정규시즌의 경우 특별히 돌아본 관광지가 없어서 관광 명소 글은 생략하고, PNC 파크는 작년에도 다녀온 곳이라 야구장 투어 글을 생략할 것이며, 뉴욕 양키 스타디움 경기는 내 응원팀의 경기가 아니었어서 관광 명소에 넣을 것이고, 포트워스와 댈러스의 경우는 순수하게 관광만 했기에 관광 명소 글만 쓰게 될 것 같다. 마지막 알링턴 포스트시즌도 경기 관람만 했기 때문에 정리 글까지 하면 총 22개의 글을 써야 할 듯 싶다. 아, 언제 다 쓰지......
(I'll write 3 subjects of tourist attraction and MLB ball park and game at each cities at this time, however there isn't specially tourist attraction in case of regular season in Arlington, so I omit about tourist attraction's writing, also I'll omit ball park tour's writing cause I went to PNC park last year, again, it'll insert a game about yanks' game in New York to tourist attraction writing due to not my supporting time's game, I think I will write only tourist attraction's writing so it purely looked around in Fort Worth and Dallas. I think I will write total 22 writing to include complete post cause I watched only games about the final ALDS in Arlington. Um, when can I write all......)

2박 3일간의 필라델피아 여행을 마치고 간 곳은 텍사스 주에 있는 알링턴 시였다. 텍사스 레인저스의 팬으로써 진작에 이 곳을 다녀왔어야 했는데 작년엔 정호만 따라다니느라 내 응원팀 경기를 제쳐두었던 것 같다. 그래서 올해는 꼭 내 응원팀 경기를 보리라 마음을 먹었고, 될 수 있는 한 많은 경기를 보려고 노력했다. 홈 경기만 볼 수 있었던 점이 아쉽긴 했지만......
알링턴에 도착한 2번째 날 야구장 투어를 하기 위해 이른 시간에 이 곳을 찾았다. 매일 10시, 11시, 12시 이렇게 3번 투어를 할 수 있던 걸로 기억하는데 난 홈페이지에서 11시로 미리 예매를 해두고 조금 여유있게 숙소를 나왔다. 숙소에서 도보 23분 거리라 느긋하게 걸어가긴 했는데 9월달의 텍사스 날씨는 한국의 한여름 날씨와 비슷해서 그게 날 힘들게 만들었던 것 같다.
(Going city to finish Philadelphia tour of 2nights 3days was Arlington city in Texas state. I had to go this place beforehand as Texas Rangers' fan, but I laid my supporting game aside so I followed for Kang last year. So I certainly decided to watch my supporting team's games this year and tried to watch many games as soon as possible. I was sad the thing that was able to watch only home games......
The second day to arrive in Arlington, I went to this place in the early time for ball park tour. I remembered it could tour 3 times of 10am and 11am and 12am everyday, I reserved a tour ticket of 11am at team's homepage before and comfortably went to my hotel. I slowly walked so it took time 23 minutes by walk from my hotel to the ball park, Texas' weather of September alike summer's weather of Korea, so I thought that made me tough.)

평일이라 나 혼자만 투어하면 어쩌나 싶어 좀 불안하긴 했으나, 다행히 생각보다 많은 팬들이 함께 있었다. 내가 영어를 잘하면 나 혼자 둘러봐도 가이드에게 이것저것 질문하면서 돌아볼 수 있는데 확실히 영어에 자신이 없다보니 여러가지로 망설여지는 것 같다. 영어를 정말 잘하고 싶은 마음은 가득한데 역시 여기서 살아서 그런지 한계도 있고......
어쨌든 이 투어가 이번 여행에서의 첫 공식적인 야구장 투어였다. 처음 들어갔던 곳은 미디어 룸인데 다른 구장과 마찬가지로 경기가 가장 정확히 잘 보이는 곳에 위치해있어 야구장 전체 사진을 찍을 수 있다. 유리창에 가로막혀 창에 반사된 내 모습까지 함께 나온 것은 아쉽지만 말이다.
(I was uneasy it thought to tour ball park only me as weekday, fortunately there were many fans than I expected. If I can speak English well, I ask some questions to guide even though me alone and can look around, I thought I hesitated someway so I didn't surely have a confidence about English. Heart that I really want to speak English well is full, but there's a limit whether I live in here......
Anyway this tour was the first official ball park tour in this journey. At first course, it was media room, this place locates the best view to watch game in the same with another ball park, I can take a picture the whole ball park. showing me reflected to window isn't good.)

56경기 연속 안타로 유명한 뉴욕 양키스의 전설적인 선수이자 명예의 전당에 헌액된 조 디마지오를 기념하여 이름을 붙인 방이 있고, 역시 명예의 전당에 헌액된 7시즌 연속 탈삼진왕 클리블랜드 인디언스의 밥 펠러의 방도 있다. 왜 남의 팀 선수를 기념하여 만든 건지는 잘 모르겠는데 혹시 이 둘이 전쟁 영웅이라서 그런가 싶기도 한데 그렇다고 해도 전쟁에 참전한 많은 선수들 중에 이 두 명만 있는 게 좀 아이러니하다. 내가 못 본 곳에 테드 윌리엄스 방도 있을라나... ㅋ
영어가 짧아서 가이드가 설명한 내용이 기억나지도 않는다. 어쨌든 그 외에 조지 부시 전 대통령이 이 곳을 방문하면 머무는 스위트룸이 있고, 알링턴 시장이 사용하는 스위트룸도 있다.
여기서 엘리베이터를 타고 지하로 내려가면 선수들과 관계자들이 이동하는 복도가 나오고 그 복도를 따라 가다가 기자회견실로 들어갔다. 여기서 가이드가 이야기한 내용은 어렴풋이 기억이 난다. 다르빗슈가 언론 인터뷰할 때 여기서 주로 많이 하고, 프린스 필더의 은퇴 발표도 이 곳에서 했다고 한다.
(There was a room where commemorated Joe DiMaggio who was legendary player of New York Yankees to have hitting streak to 56 games and was inducted into the Hall of Fame, Bob Feller who entered into the Hall of Fame and took winner about strike out 7 season in a row of Cleveland Indians. I have no idea why does it have some rooms to commemorate, it's so whether both players were war hero, even though so, it's irony what has only this two players in many players who fight a war. Do it have Ted Williams' room in the other place, too?
I didn't remember guide's explanation as lacking my English skill. Anyway except for that, there was a suite room where stayed sometime President George Bush if he visit here and used Arlington city's mayor.
It takes an elevator and go down to basement in here and sees passage where moves players and staffs, it goes along the passageway and entered to a press room. I vaguely remember guide's story in here. When Darvish Yu interviews with media, he mainly uses here and I heard Prince Fielder announced retirement in here, too.)
[실내 배팅훈련장(Batting practice room)]
대부분의 배팅 훈련은 그라운드에서 하지만 이 곳에서는 웬지 원포인트 레슨이 이뤄질 것 같은 느낌이다. 사진 찍느라 가이드의 설명을 제대로 듣지 못했지만 집중적으로 훈련을 해야 할 선수들도 있을테고, 이 곳 이름 자체가 히팅 케이지이니 말이다. 물론 비가 와서 훈련을 못할 경우에도 이 곳을 사용할 것이다. 메이저리그는 웬만한 비 아니고는 경기가 취소되지 않는다.
(Almost batting practice does in the ground, but I think one point lesson about batting does in here. I couldn't exactly hear guide's expression so I take a picture, but there will be some players who intensively have to do practice and this room's name is hitting cages by itself. Of course, if it's raining and doesn't do training, it will use this room. MLB game doesn't cancel if it isn't raining pretty much.)
[덕아웃(A dugout)]
드디어 텍사스 레인저스 선수들이 이용하는 1루 덕아웃에 이르렀다. 덕아웃 입장 전 여러가지 우승 패치가 붙어 있는데 아직 월드시리즈 우승은 없는 관계로 지구 우승 패치와 아메리칸 리그 우승 패치들이 쭉 붙어있다. 빨리 월드시리즈 우승 패치도 붙여야 할텐데......
덕아웃은 역시 넓직넓직하고 깔끔하며 그라운드를 한 눈에 보기도 참 좋다. 물론 경기 중에는 선수들이 아몬드나 땅콩 등 견과류를 까먹고 그 껍질을 바닥에 버려서 엄청 지저분한데 어느새 이렇게 깔끔하게 변신해 있다. 난 아무데나 쓰레기를 버리지 않기도 하고 그렇게 배워와서 이런 분위기가 이해가 되지 않았는데 미국인들은 청소하시는 분들을 위해서라고 생각한단다. 수긍이 가지만 그렇다고 해도 크게 공감은 안된다.
(Finally we reached a dugout that uses Texas Rangers' players in the first base. The wall pasted some winning patch before entering to dugout, it pasted patch of division winning and American league' champion in a row so there is no winning of world series. If only it quickly pastes world series' patch......
A dugout is also large and neat, the ground is pretty good a view seeing at a glance. Of course, players shell and eat nut products of almond and peanut and etc, the husk throw away in the floor, so it's so dirty, but it neatly transforms like that before one knows. I don't throw away garbage and learned like this, so I didn't understand, I heard American thinks for sweepers. I understand that, even though so, I don't bigly sympathize.)

투어가 끝난 후 너무 지친 상태이기도 했고, 저녁에 경기를 보는 것 외에는 특별히 정한 일정이 없었기에 찬찬히 레인저스 샵을 둘러보기 시작했다. 그리고 이 것 또한 나의 목표 중 하나기도 했고......
양키 스타디움에 비견되는 크기의 야구장이라 그런지 이 곳도 엄청 크다는 느낌이었다. 그만큼 여러 물건도 많고, 사고 싶은 것들도 너무너무 많았는데 내 전 재산을 거덜낼 수는 없는 일이라 일단 찬찬히 사진을 찍으며 꼭 사야될 것들을 기억해두었다. 하지만 결국 포스트시즌 때 다시 돌아와서는 꽤 많이 질렀다!!!
(I was so tired and hadn't special schedule except watching game at night after ending tour, so I started to look around for Rangers' shop in detail. Besides this was also one of my goals......
It felt this place was very big whether it is a ball park similar size to Yankee stadium. There were a lot of products as that and I wanted to buy many things, once I took a picture in detail and certainly keep buying things in mind so I couldn't spend all my budget. But I came back here in the ALDS and bought a lot of things!!!)
[텍사스 레인저스 기프트샵(Majestic Gland Slam Gift Shop)]
이 곳은 마스코트 인형도 그렇지만 인형 종류가 엄청 많았고, 이 글에 사진을 올리지는 않았지만 야구공 종류도 많았다. 아마 내가 둘러본 팀스토어 중에서 가장 다양한 디자인의 야구공이 있었던 곳은 여기 레인저스 샵이었던 것 같고, 야구공 디자인 또한 여기가 제일 괜찮았던 듯 싶다.
미르를 위해 애견용 텍사스 레인저스 저지를 사오려고 했는데 다 팔린 것인지 아예 나오지 않은 것인지 찾을 수가 없어서 어쩔 수 없이 티셔츠를 샀다. 작년에는 저지를 본 것 같은데 이미 다 팔렸을지도 모른다.
(There were pretty many dolls including mascot doll here, I don't post a photo in this writing, but there were also pretty many balls. Maybe the place being balls of the most various design was Texas Rangers' gift shop in the team stores that I have gone, I thought ball design was also the best in here.
I tried to buy Texas Rangers' jersey using pet for Mir, I couldn't find it whether sold out or wasn't released, so I unavoidably bought tee shirt. I thought I saw pet jersey, maybe it already sold out everything.)
[글로브 라이프 파크 외부(Outside Globe Life Park in Arlington)]
팀 스토어까지 모두 구경한 후 야구장 외부도 한 바퀴 둘러보다보니 뭔가 이 야구장 건축 양식이나 분위기가 전형적인 미국의 그것 같다는 느낌이 들었다. 텍사스 주가 과거에는 멕시코 영토였다고 들었는데 혹시 그 멕시코의 분위기가 있었을지도 모르고...... 멕시코를 다녀온 적이 없어서 그 느낌이 어떤 것인지는 잘 모르겠다.
1루와 3루 입구의 뾰족한 지붕을 가진 두 개의 기둥 모양이 특이하게 느껴졌고, 건물 전체적으로 봤을 때 일정한 간격의 넓은 창 모양과 상단의 모양을 보니 마치 옛날 성곽과 궁전을 표현하지 않았나 싶기도 하다. TE AS 모양의 글자 조형물에서 X가 빠진 이유는 저 가운데 X 모양으로 서서 기념샷을 찍으라는 의미이다. 나도 잘 몰랐는데 나를 찍어줬던 일본인이 그렇게 말하기도 했고, 다른 사람들도 다 그런 식으로 기념샷을 찍었다.
(I looked around outside ball park after seeing team store, I felt this ball park's architectural style or atmosphere was the typical something of America. I heard Texas state was Mexico's territory in the past, maybe it has the Mexico's feeling...... I haven't been to Mexico, so I don't know what is the feeling.
I felt two pillars' shape which have pointed roof of the first and third base's entrance, it saw big window's shape and the top shape of regular distance and it looked like to express old rampart and castle in view of whole structure. The reason missing X letter in letter sculpture of TE AS means to take memorable photo standing up X shape in that middle. I didn't know, one Japanese who took a picture for me said so and the other people all took a memorable photo like that.)

[점심식사(Lunch)]
빈 속으로 오랫동안 돌아다녀서 그랬는지 현기증까지 날 지경이라 호텔로 돌아가면서 호텔 앞 레스토랑을 들러 점심식사를 했다. 스포츠 바와 레스토랑 모두 있는 공간인데 미국에는 참 이런 곳이 많은 것 같다.
체력이 좀 딸리는 느낌이었지만 고기를 먹기는 부담스러워서 닭가슴살이 들어있는 샐러드와 튀긴 고구마를 함께 주문했고, 생각보다 양이 많아서 반반씩만 먹고 나머지는 포장해서 숙소로 가지고 갔다. 샐러드도 상큼하니 맛있었으나, 난 저 튀긴 고구마가 너무너무 맛있었다. 원래 튀김을 별로 안 좋아하는데 이건 그 차원을 넘어섰다고나 할까....
이렇게 점심을 먹은 후 경기장으로 가기 이전까지는 휴식을 취하는 걸로 이 일정을 마무리지었다.
(I felt dizzy whether I did't eat and walked for a long time, I did lunch at restaurant in front of my hotel on my way to my hotel. This place all has a sports bar and restaurant, I think there's many type of this restaurant.
I felt my strength was undermined a little, I ordered salad being chicken breast and fried sweet potato so eating meat was uncomfortable, I ate each half of both foods and pack the left food, I took one to my hotel due to much food's volume than I thought. Salad was sweet and delicious, I was so so more delicious that fried sweet potato. I don't naturally like fried food well, wasn't this food so..
After I eat lunch, I finished this schedule to take a rest until before going to ball park.)
