『한 여자가 에메랄드 빛의 해안을 보며 끝도 없이 펼쳐진 백사장을 조용히 걷고 있었다. 한 손에는 카메라를 들고, 다른 한 손으로 새하얀 솜뭉치처럼 보이는 몰티즈의 어깨끈을 쥐며 느릿느릿 그 사이를 가로지르고 있다. 때마침 붉은 석양이 드리우며 그녀의 발걸음을 멈추게 만들었고, 몰티즈와 함께 잠시 백사장에 주저앉아 수평선을 지그시 바라보며 카메라 셔터를 누르기 시작한다. 그 순간, 누군가가 다가와 그 둘을 넓고 든든한 어깨로 감싸주었고, 그렇게 그들은 따스한 속삭임을 주고 받으며 다시 백사장 한쪽 끝을 향해 걸어가기 시작했다.』
삶의 여유 그리고 자유를 꿈꾸다보면 항상 이런 모습들을 그리곤 한다. 바다, 해변, 강아지, 로맨틱한 풍경, 카메라 등등...... 아마도 인생의 축소판이라고 볼 수 있는 여행이란 단어가 나에게 그러한 여유로움과 자유를 안겨주는 주된 요소이지 않을까하는 생각이 든다. 지금으로선 미르를 다시 만날 수 없는 상황이지만 천국에서 나중에 미르와 재회하고, 사랑하는 사람과도 합류하게 되면 저런 따스한 풍경이 펼쳐질 것이라 믿어보며 이 글을 시작해본다.

Dreaming composure of life and liberty, I've always used to draw like this. Ocean, beach, dog, romantic view, camera, etc...... Maybe It seems a word 'travel' can speak microcosm of life is an element that gives composure and liberty like that to me. It's a situation can't meet Mir again for now, but if I meet with Mir later and also join with loved one in heaven, I believe I can see wonderful view like that and start to post this writing.)

상황이 상황인지라 가성비 좋은 여행을 계획하여 이번에도 가보지 못한 4군데의 야구장을 돌아보며 나름 관광지도 알차게 찾아다닐 수 있었다. 여행을 다녀온 이후 미국 동부와 중부, 서부 그리고 한국까지 짧은 기간 안에 넘나드느라 가뜩이나 약해진 체력이 더 떨어지면서 시차 적응에 애를 먹은 건지 아니면 건강이 많이 안 좋아진 것인지 확실한 이유는 알 수 없지만 병원을 수시로 들락날락할 정도로 아프기도 했다. 그래도 이 여행에 대해서 후회는 없는 것이 여행 중에는 아픈 적이 전혀 없었기 때문에 돌아오는 것 자체가 나에게 더 스트레스로 다가오지 않았을까 싶고, 이게 더 설득력 있는 요인으로 느껴진다.
항상 그래왔듯이 관광, MLB 볼파크, 야구, 정리글까지 이렇게 나눠서 기록해볼 예정이고, 30개 구장(도시까지)을 모두 돌아보고 참고 자료를 조금 더 축적한 이후 이 자료들을 가지고 나만의 책을 한번 만들어보고 싶다는 생각이 든다. 판매 목적이 아닌 내 스스로 만들어나간 역사 그 흔적을 남기기 위해서......
(I planned cost-effective travel so my situation isn't good, had looked around 4 ball parks where I have never gone this time and could worthily look tourist attractions as my idea. After going back from travel, I can't know sure cause whether weak strength gets lower and I couldn't adjust jet leg so I had gone all the eastern and central and western area of US within short time or my health got worse pretty much, I've been sick as frequently going in and out of hospital. But the reason that has no regret about this travel is what had never been sick in middle that time at all, I thought coming back here by itself gave any more stresses to me, I feel this is more reasonable cause.
As I did so, I'm going to write dividing to the part of sightseeing and MLB ball parks and baseball and ending story, I've thought I would like to make only my book for using these materials after I all go to 30 ball parks(including cities) and accumulate more reference materials. For leaving trace of the history that I have been creating by myself not purpose of sale......)
8. [MLB TOUR(18)] 로저스 센터 : 토론토 블루 제이스의 홈구장 (Rogers Centre : Home of the Toronto Blue Jays)
[로저스 센터 (Rogers Centre)]
로저스 센터는 캐나다의 유일한 메이저리그 팀인 토론토 블루 제이스의 홈구장이고, 세계 최초의 개폐식 돔구장이다. 후쿠오카 야후 돔구장의 모티브가 되었고, 로드 로비와 마이클 알렌에 의해 설계되었으며 1989년 5월에 완공되었다. 약 CA $570m (한화 약 5,300억) 의 건설 비용을 캐나다 정부와 온타리오 주 정부 및 30개 이상의 기업 연합체가 부담하면서 그 이름을 따서 스카이돔 구장으로 불리게 되었는데 이 스카이돔 운영 회사가 거액의 채무로 고통받다가 1998년 파산하고, 2004년 블루 제이스의 모회사인 로저스 커뮤니케이션스가 인수하여 지금의 이름으로 불리기 시작했다고 한다.
돔구장의 가장 큰 문제점이 잔디일텐데 처음부터 천연 잔디에 가까운 인조 잔디 필드 터프를 사용했고, 2010년에는 애스트로 터프로 바뀌었으며 현재 천연 잔디로 교체하는 걸 검토하고 있다.

It was a motive of Fukuoka Yahoo Dome, was designed Rod Robbie and Michael Allen, was built in May, 1989. Federal government and Ontario Provincial government and company and the city of Toronto and consortium of corporations over than 30 ones burdened construction expenses about CA $570m, it was called SkyDome then, consortium suffered financial problem and went bankrupt in 1998, Rogers Communications being parent company of Blue Jays acquired SkyDome in 2004, it started to call present name.
The big issue of Dome will be grass, it was used FieldTurf nearly artificial turf from the first, upgraded to AstroTurf in 2010, it's examining to upgrade to natural turfs these days.)

내 여행의 주목적이자 버킷 리스트 항목 중 가장 중요한 MLB 야구장 투어를 위해 찾은 올해의 첫 장소는 로저스 센터였다. 당연히 내 응원팀인 텍사스 레인저스의 경기를 보기 위해서였고, 올해도 이왕 가는 김에 가보지 못한 경기장 위주로 일정을 정할 수 있었다. 유니온 스테이션에서 도보로 약 10분 정도의 거리라 접근성이 좋고, 바로 옆에 화려한 건물들과 CN 타워, 아쿠아리움 등이 있으며 여기서 아주 가까운 곳에 온타리오 호수가 있어 산책하기도 참 좋은 곳이다.

Surely it was for watching Texas Rangers following me, I could plan mainly ball parks where I haven't been as long as I go to USA including Canada. It takes about 10 minutes by walk from Union Station, so it has good accessibility, there are wonderful buildings and CN Tower and aquarium and etc near by here, it's pretty good place caused by being Lake Ontario.)

아무래도 완공된지 이제 좀 많이 지나서 그런지 그다지 큰 특징은 없어보였다. 원래 야구는 야외에서 보는 게 제 맛이라는 생각이라 갇혀있는 것도 답답했지만 워낙 이때 날씨가 추웠기에 지붕을 닫은 건 이해할 수 있는 일이었다. 안 닫았으면 아마 난 겨울 아우터를 하나 샀어야 했을지 모르니......
원래 이렇게까지 춥지는 않은데 이번에 이상 기온 현상이 좀 두드러졌다고는 한다. 지구가 현재의 나처럼 반복적으로 아픈 것 같아서 계속 이럴 것 같은 게 문제지만.......
(It seemed not to be standout feature whether it is a little old building these days. I have a thought that baseball watching outside is fresh taste, so I was stuff watching baseball inside, I could understand closing roof cause it was so chilly then. If the roof didn't close, maybe I would buy a winter outer......
I heard it wasn't naturally cold like this, abnormal temperature has been standing out a little this time. But the problem is what this phenomenon is repeating so I think earth is sick like me......)

로저스 센터 홈플레이트 뒷쪽 중간에 경기를 보며 식음료를 즐길 수 있는 테이블과 좌석이 있고, 아마 가격이 꽤 비싸긴 할텐데 스카이박스처럼 안에 들어가는 것도 아니고, 야구장 좌석 안에 레스토랑이라니, 뭔가 낭만적이고 신선한 느낌이었다. 또 음식 맛은 어떨지 궁금하기도 하고......!!!
그리고 나의 또 하나의 과업을 달성하기 위해 기프트샵을 들르기도 했다. 그런데 블루 제이스 마스코트 인형 크기가 너무 커서 그냥 서브 마스코트 인형으로 사올 수 밖에 없었다. 그래도 본래 마스코트보다 내가 사온 것이 판타지스러운 느낌이라 더 근사해보인다!
(There are tables and seats can watch game and enjoy food and drink in the middle floor behind home plate of Rogers centre, maybe seat price will be pretty expensive, but what a restaurant in the seat of ball park not coming into interior like skybox, I had felt something romantic and fresh . I was curious how about food's taste......!!!
And I stopped by gift shop for achieving my another duty. By the way, I should just buy a sub mascot doll so official mascot of Blue Jays is so big. Nevertheless the thing that I buy than official mascot feels nicer like existing in the fantasy world!)
[4/27 ~ 29일까지 로저스 센터에서 먹었던 요기꺼리 (Foods eating from Apr 27 to 29 in Rogers Centre)]
원래 맛있는 음식을 참 좋아하기는 하나, 이상하게 여행을 가면 유명한 음식 위주로 잘 챙겨먹고 다니지는 못하는 것 같다. 관광으로 인해 몸이 지치기도 할테니 여기저기 헤매고 다니는 것도 귀찮아하는 듯 하고, 먹는 것보다 내 목표 달성이 더 우선이라서 그런 듯 하다. 그래도 끼니를 챙겨먹지 않으면 밤에 배고파져서(배고프면 야식을 먹을테니!) 다른 건 몰라도 식사 시간은 잘 맞춰서 먹고 있다.
첫 날은 치즈 그릴 햄버거, 둘째 날은 야구장의 대표 음식 기본 핫도그이고(토핑 참 알차게 넣었다는!!!), 토론토에서의 마지막 날은 정선 언니가 있어서 이 곳의 명물 점보 핫도그를 먹었다. 모두 다 맛있었는데 난 첫 날 먹었던 그릴 햄버거가 기억에 남는 듯 하다. 토핑도 본인이 선택할 수 있고, 하나만 먹어도 참 든든하다.
{In fact, I like delicious food pretty much, but I didn't mysteriously eat famous foods well whenever I go. I think I've been getting sluggardly finding famous restaurants due to tiredness by tour, it's so cause it is priority that my goal achieves than eating something. But it's getting hungry if it doesn't eat a meal in proper time(I'll eat late-night meal if it is), I've been eating something to fit in mealtime even though it doesn't go here and there.
I ate a cheese grill hamburger in the first day, a basic hot dog being typical food of ball park in the secondary day(fully putting topping well!!), a Jumbo hot dog being famous food here due to my friend in the last day of Toronto. These foods all taste good, I was impressive about hamburger which ate in the first day. It can select some topping in itself, I felt being full only one.)
큰 특징이 있는 곳은 아니어도 관람 분위기도 편안하고, 카메라 망원 렌즈도 반입 가능한데다 전혀 신경도 안 쓰는 분위기라 더 좋았던 곳이었다. 그래서 다음에 또 노마 보러 가게 되고, 일정이 맞으면 이 곳을 다시 찾아야겠다는 생각이 든다. 다만, 그 때는 지붕을 열 수 있는 좋은 날씨였으면 좋겠다!
(Even if it wasn't standout feature, it can watch in comfortable feeling, it can enter bringing a telephoto lens and didn't care of it at all, so I was good. So I'd like to go this ball park again if I go watching Nomar and it matched game schedule in the next time. However I wish it is good weather can open roof!)
