DC (The history and politics center of USA, Washington DC)

by ♥Elen_Mir 2016. 12. 20.

(When I always write, I agonizes a lot about how does first word start, it takes so long time what it completes only first line and first paragraph, I put the first dot after long time like that. It seems to be lazy a little what I start trivial writing about journey for 27 days being from the middle of September to the middle of October in the present time to reach the end of 2016. Maybe this becomes trivial writings objectively, but is great task in personality......

Anyway I prepared a lot from the early time this year for achieving this most difficult dream in my bucket list starting from last year, I can look around famous places of each other cities with MLB ball parks for long period than I expect. Maybe that was valuable period which can't experience the several years at least. I'd like to remain the memories one by one because If I try to work, it's so difficult tour of 7 days including weekend.)

(I couldn't go many tourist attractions to compare journey period, but cause I don't like to digest intensive schedule and main bucket list is MLB ball park tour, I went mainly places where can use extra time except that time. It doesn't know I revisit several places in that ones, so I think I go omission at that time.

I went 6 ball parks this year and total 10 ball parks  from last year to now, it remains 20 ones in the future, besides it will be constructed 3 new ones at least, I have no idea when this dream all comes true. Can I really go every MLB ball parks until I pass away in my life......)

(I'll write 3 subjects of tourist attraction and MLB ball park and game at each cities at this time, however there isn't specially tourist attraction in case of regular season in Arlington, so I omit about tourist attraction's writing, also I'll omit ball park tour's writing cause I went to PNC park last year, again, it'll insert a game about yanks' game in New York to tourist attraction writing due to not my supporting time's game, I think I will write only tourist attraction's writing so it purely looked around in Fort Worth and Dallas. I think I will write total 22 writing to include complete post cause I watched only games about the final ALDS in Arlington. Um, when can I write all......)

DC (The history and politics center of USA, Washington DC)

(Washington Monument to watch at Lincoln memorial)]

(Washington DC where is root of US democracy and mecca of politics was one of place that I usually wanted to go. I couldn't speak that it wasn't influential of US drama, there should be a lot of intellectuals in this city's characteristic, I felt the atmosphere made safely more this city. Of course, politics is so complicated and sometimes hypocritical, but I think it will exist also righteous politics as main as there're a lot of investigation agencies here.)

(Duo Hostel)]

(Breakfast)]

(Near Mt. Vernon Sq. Station)]

(Hotel's expenses near downtown of Washington DC, so I should stay hostel's 4 dormitory at the first of my life. The cause uncomfortable hostel to me is the first that I hate to do damage to another people so time to use in bathroom is long, I can't sleep well if someone's next to me so I have sensitive character and sleep disorder. So I usually go to 2.5th and 3td hotel even though facilities's not good, I couldn't stay Washington DC and New York's hotel were so so expensive.

I found out a place to have breakfast in metro station near hostel, I ate Subway sandwich for reducing expenses. I could eat cheap price comparing with size cause unexpectedly a sort of chicken sandwich this day was discount item.)

(Marquis De Lafayette Statue)]

(Lafayette Square)]

(Treasury Department)]

(White House)]

(Eisenhower Executive Office Building)]

(Protest that has to regulate gun)]

(The north square of White House)]

(The first place in Washington DC was just White House. Blue House of our country has peremptory feeling and so tough even approaching to 100m when it protests, it can ordinarily go in front of walk road of White House as symbol of also liberal democracy. If it thinks some terror problem or country's scale, White House'll be tough place to approach, isn't the one compared a lot with which country's administration......

It's a White House between with The treasury Department of US and Eisenhower Executive Office Building where is business of White House and facilities to administer vice president, the opposite from White House's Lafayette square, the south of White House is the Ellipse. Also there're museum and some government facilities near that.)

(Washington Monument)]

(Lincoln Memorial to watch at Washington Monument)]

(It sees some dramas or movies that is set in Washington, the building where shows the most with White House or United States Capitol is just Washington Monument. CSI Cyber that was televised spin-off series of the CSI series is set in this city, it always shows this one in opening or closing of this drama.

This one's a monument where built for George Washington who was the first president to establish USA, this one's height is 169m, it can watch Washington DC's landscape to move by elevator due to being observatory in this one. I heard regulated by law it can't built higher building than this one in Washington DC for respecting National Assembly and showing respect authority.)

(Lincoln Memorial and World War Ⅱ Memorial)]

(There's Lincoln Memorial near Washington Monument, it can see World War Ⅱ Memorial and fountain before reaching the place. I'm always thinking war shouldn't be, but I'm sad about sacrifice people due to the war. It would be good if it doesn't build that memorial......)

(Smithsonian Castle)]

(Smithsonian Garden)]

(Smithsonian Hirshhorn Museum]

(National Air and Space Museum)]

(Smithsonian museum is established by contribution of James Smithson being England's scientist in 1846, the place to manage everything is Smithsonian Institute. Smithsonian Institution's international research institution to have 6,000 staffs, is managing 13 museum and gallery and National zoo, is using Smithsonian Castle where was the first Smithsonian Museum.

I didn't come inside so I was still tired and just looked around only outside, I'll look around in detail next time. There're historical relics and art works of about 139M, it is displayed only 1% of this ones as very much.)

(National Art Gallery)]

(United States Capitol)]

(National Art Gallery is the boastful space huge scale in Smithsonian Museum and was built in 1941, building's exterior is beautiful in itself.

And United States Capitol is one of the most famous place in Washington DC as mentioned in head of this post, was built in 1800. This one isn't the center of DC state, but is square one to cut 4 district.)

(Union Station of Washington)]

(It's time to go to ball park, so I find out transportation and checked the thing that National mall's close with Union station, I walked there. I went before this day due to locating Mega bus stop in this place, I decided to eat late lunch after lightly looking inside with going there. I ordered a piece of pizza that is bigger than my palm and salad and ate so fully, but these foods was quickly digested whether my physical strength was exhausted a lot. To eat deliciously dinner again when it starts a game in ball park......)

(Tortino Restaurant)]

(The third day in Washington DC, brunch resolved at Tortino calling Italian restaurant. This one was the opposite from my hostel and I went to there so review of Yelp app was ok, I thought the thing that I made mistake about menu selection was salty that thin beef than I thought. And I felt saltier due to deep Europe style's cheese and smell wasn't good well. It was so cause cheese isn't familiar fermentation's condition to Korean, but it was something healthy taste and it had a lot of foods' volume, so I could fully eat. I took off a half of foods and came to get to my hostel and ate in next morning because I tried accustom myself to eating a few food after diagnosing inveterate dyspepsia.)

(Way to McPherson Square Station)]

(McPherson Square)]

(George Washington University)]

(I lately went out at my hostel for dropping by Lincoln Memorial and going to ball park this day. I thought better going from McPherson Square station where was about 15 minutes distance from my hostel to Lincoln Memorial, it sees map, it take off at Foggy Bottom-GWU station and penetrated George Washington University. I didn't all look George Washington University, but it seemed campus all spread street at each undergraduate not to gather one place. If I have a lot of money, I want to study, again.)

(Lincoln Memorial)]

(Lincoln Memorial's a building that is commemorative Abraham Lincoln being the 16th president of US and can also see the back of 5 dollar's bill. This one was constructed Greek Doris type as built model Temple of Parthenon and 36 pillars to put structure symbolizes federation count, it was graven with the top frieze. Also as this one's one of human rights movement's shrine of US, the famous place that Martin Luther King made a speech "I have a dream".

It entered inside and there's big Lincoln's stone statue, both side was graved letters like that, I don't exactly see as lacking English, but I heard the famous Gettysburg Address was graved. As Gettysburg Address was a speech that Lincoln did Gettysburg of Pennsylvania on November 19, 1863 in the Civil War, this speech's one of the most quoted in America's history, considered the greatest speech. Always the mentionable letters "government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth" was mentioned just in this speech when it speaks democracy.)

(At the Washington Monument...)]

(It could feel boring somewhat due to educational and political city, but I like this atmosphere more than noisy one. So I always have a fantasy about Washington DC, I felt to achieve wish. Besides this city takes about 6 hours to Pittsburgh by Mega bus and 4 hours to New York and etc, to tour eastern another cities of US seemed to locate pretty comfortable place. I felt something wanting that I couldn't stay for a long time, even if I can't go soon, I'll go to Washington DC again, I'd like to study history and to look around in detail.)
