항상 글을 쓸 때면 첫 단어를 어떻게 시작해야 할지 많은 고민을 하게 되고, 그렇게 첫 줄 그리고 첫 문단만 완성하는데도 꽤 오랜 시간이 걸리는데 이번에도 여지없이 그런 긴 시간을 보내고 나서야 이렇게 첫 마침표를 찍어본다. 2016년의 끝자락에 다다른 지금에서야 지난 9월 중순부터 10월 중순까지 다녀온 27일간의 미국 여행에 대한 소소한 글을 시작하는 것이 다소 게을러 보이기는 하지만 말이다. 객관적으로는 매우 소소한 글이 되겠지만 내 개인적으로는 아주 큰 과업일지도 모르겠고......
어쨌든 작년부터 시작한 나의 버킷리스트 중 가장 달성하기 힘든 이 꿈을 이루기 위해 올해도 빠른 시점부터 많은 준비를 했고, 예상보다 긴 시간동안 MLB 야구장을 비롯한 각 도시의 명소도 함께 둘러볼 수 있었다. 아마 최소 몇 년간 다시 올 수 없는 소중한 기간이었을지도 모르겠다. 이 나라에서 일을 하려면 주말을 낀 7일 여행가는 것도 버겁기 때문에 그 추억 하나하나를 기록으로 남겨보고 싶다.
(When I always write, I agonizes a lot about how does first word start, it takes so long time what it completes only first line and first paragraph, I put the first dot after long time like that. It seems to be lazy a little what I start trivial writing about journey for 27 days being from the middle of September to the middle of October in the present time to reach the end of 2016. Maybe this becomes trivial writings objectively, but is great task in personality......
Anyway I prepared a lot from the early time this year for achieving this most difficult dream in my bucket list starting from last year, I can look around famous places of each other cities with MLB ball parks for long period than I expect. Maybe that was valuable period which can't experience the several years at least. I'd like to remain the memories one by one because If I try to work, it's so difficult tour of 7 days including weekend.)

여행 기간에 비해 다녀온 곳이 많지는 않지만 빡빡하게 일정 소화하는 것 자체를 별로 좋아하지도 않고, 주된 목표는 MLB 야구장 투어이기 때문에 그 시간을 제외한 나머지 시간을 활용할 수 있는 장소 위주로 다녀왔다. 여기서 몇몇 곳은 재방문할지도 모르니 그 때 못 돌아본 곳을 가면 될 것 같다.
올해 야구장 6곳을 돌아보면서 작년부터 지금까지 총 10곳을 돌았는데 앞으로 20곳이 더 남았고 거기에 더해 최소 3곳의 신구장이 건설될 예정이라 언제 이 꿈을 모두 이룰지는 모르겠다. 진짜 죽기 전까지 다 갈 수 있을까......
(I couldn't go many tourist attractions to compare journey period, but cause I don't like to digest intensive schedule and main bucket list is MLB ball park tour, I went mainly places where can use extra time except that time. It doesn't know I revisit several places in that ones, so I think I go omission at that time.
I went 6 ball parks this year and total 10 ball parks from last year to now, it remains 20 ones in the future, besides it will be constructed 3 new ones at least, I have no idea when this dream all comes true. Can I really go every MLB ball parks until I pass away in my life......)
이번에도 각각의 도시마다 관광 명소, MLB 야구장, MLB 게임 이렇게 세 가지의 주제로 글을 쓸 것이지만 알링턴 정규시즌의 경우 특별히 돌아본 관광지가 없어서 관광 명소 글은 생략하고, PNC 파크는 작년에도 다녀온 곳이라 야구장 투어 글을 생략할 것이며, 뉴욕 양키 스타디움 경기는 내 응원팀의 경기가 아니었어서 관광 명소에 넣을 것이고, 포트워스와 댈러스의 경우는 순수하게 관광만 했기에 관광 명소 글만 쓰게 될 것 같다. 마지막 알링턴 포스트시즌도 경기 관람만 했기 때문에 정리 글까지 하면 총 22개의 글을 써야 할 듯 싶다. 아, 언제 다 쓰지......
(I'll write 3 subjects of tourist attraction and MLB ball park and game at each cities at this time, however there isn't specially tourist attraction in case of regular season in Arlington, so I omit about tourist attraction's writing, also I'll omit ball park tour's writing cause I went to PNC park last year, again, it'll insert a game about yanks' game in New York to tourist attraction writing due to not my supporting time's game, I think I will write only tourist attraction's writing so it purely looked around in Fort Worth and Dallas. I think I will write total 22 writing to include complete post cause I watched only games about the final ALDS in Arlington. Um, when can I write all......)

댈러스는 텍사스에서 3번째로 큰 도시이고, 미국에서는 9번째로 큰 도시이다. 인구수가 121만명 정도이며 기름값이 싸기로 유명한 곳인데 동텍사스에 유전이 있어서 그런 것 같고, 요즘엔 세일 자원도 공급되어서 더 그런 것 같다.
또한 전자, 통신, 식품, 기계 등의 공업이 발달하였고, 엑손모빌, 애트모스 에너지, 홀리, 크로스텍스 에너지 주식회사 등 수많은 석유 회사들의 본사가 위치하고 있으며 미국 남서부의 중요한 금융 중심지이고, 집회 비즈니스, 관광업 또한 발전하였다. 그리고 댈러스-포트워스 국제 공항과 댈러스 러브필드 공항, DART, TRE 등 텍사스에 있는 도시 중에서는 교통이 가장 발달한 곳 같다.

And industry of electronics and communication and food and machine and etc develops, head offices of many oil companies of Exxon Mobil Corporation and Atmos Energy and HollyFrontier and Crossgex Energy LP and etc are locating, it's the important finance center of South-west in United States, rally and tourism business develops, too. Besides I think public transportation develops the most in city of Texas due to Dallas-Fort Worth Intl' Airport and Dallas Love-field Airport and DART and TRE and etc and etc.)

세인트 폴역에서 내려 댈러스 예술지구 쪽으로 가면 특이한 형태의 침례 교회를 볼 수 있고, 댈러스 아트 뮤지엄 건너편에는 고풍스러운 건물의 감리교회를 볼 수 있는데 침례 교회는 1868년에 지어진 남부의 거대 침례 교회로 학교와 몇 개의 라디오 방송국, 노숙인들을 위한 공간을 가지고 있다고 하고, 감리교회는 170년 이상의 역사를 자랑하는 곳이라고 한다.
댈러스 아트 뮤지엄의 역사는 1903년 댈러스 예술협회라는 기관이 댈러스 공공 도서관에 회화들을 처음 전시했을 때로 거슬러 올라가는데 이를 본 첫 도서관장인 메이 딕슨 엑솔은 여러 곳에 후원을 요청하였고, 이것이 계기가 되어 1932년 페어파크 안에 새 시설이 개관되었다. 현재의 이 시설로 옮긴 것은 1984년이고, 형태주의 건축가로 유명한 에드워드 래러비 반스가 이 곳을 설계하였으며 미국과 아프리카, 아시아, 인도네시아에서 공수해 온 2만 4천여점의 미술품이 전시되어 있다. 앤디 워홀을 비롯하여 오귀스트 르누아르, 빈센트 반 고흐, 폴 세잔, 클로드 모네 등 유명한 화가들의 걸작을 무료로 감상할 수 있으나, 난 시간상 이 곳 뿐만이 아니고, 아시아 미술관도 들어가진 않았다.

Dallas Museum of Art's history goes back to first exhibition paintings in Dallas Public Library by establishment of Dallas Art Association in 1903, May Dickson Exall who was the first president of Dallas Public Library seeing this requested some businesses and individuals sponsor, upon this opportunity, a new facility opened in Fair Park in 1932. The time to move to this building now was in 1984 and was designed by Edward Larrabee Barnes who is the famous formalism architect, is exhibited work arts of 24,000 to airlift from US and Africa and Asia and Indonesia. It can watch masterworks of the famous artists of Pierre Auguste Renoir and Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Cezanne and Claude Monet and etc as well as Andy Warhol on free, but I didn't come Crow Collection of Asian Art with this place in time.)
[내셔 조각센터(Nasher Sculpture Center)]
2003년에 오픈된 내셔 조각센터는 1998년 프리츠커상을 수상한 이탈리아의 건축가 렌조 피아노가 설계한 미술관으로 댈러스의 수집가이자 자선가인 레이몬드 내셔와 그의 아내 펫시 내셔가 40년 이상 수집한 오귀스트 로댕, 파블로 피카소, 앙리 마티스, 에드가 드가 등의 작품 3만여점이 전시되어 있다.
로비에 들어가서 입장권을 산 후 직원이 간략하게 코스를 안내해주는데 로비가 위치한 1층 그리고 그 아래 지하, 야외에 조성되어 있는 갤러리까지 다양한 스타일의 작품들이 전시되어 있다. 국립 미술관이나 무료로 들어갈 수 있는 미술관과 달리 유료 미술관은 사진 촬영이 금지된 곳이 많은데 이 곳은 예외로 사진 촬영을 할 수 있고, 입장료는 $10 정도이다. 예술 작품에 문외한인 나도 이 곳이 좀 더 편안하게 느껴졌던 것이 클래식한 느낌의 작품들만 있는 것 아니라 귀여운 캐릭터나 정형화되지 않은 작품들이 신선하게 다가왔고, 아기자기한 야외 갤러리에서 따뜻한 햇빛을 쬐며 여유롭게 산책하는 기분으로 작품을 감상할 수 있다는 것이 꽤 인상적이었다.
(Nasher Sculpture Center where was opened in 2003 was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano who won Pritzker Prize in 1998, was exhibited 30,000 works of art of Auguste Rodin and Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse and Edgar Degas and etc which collected Raymond Nasher who was Dallas' collector and philanthropist and his wife Patsy Nasher over 40 years.
It enters into lobby and purchases ticket, staff simply explains gallery course, there are works of various style in 1st floor being lobby and the under basement and gallery making open air. Charged art museum almost prohibits taking photos comparing with National art museum or free museum, it can exceptively take a picture in this place and it pays $10. The thing that I who don't know works of art well felt more comfortable is what freshly comes to mind cute characters or works not to be standardized with classical works, I was pretty impressive what gets warm sunlight and watches works relaxedly feeling to walk in wonderful open air gallery.)

댈러스 아트 뮤지움 아래 쪽에 클라이드 워런 공원이 있는데 규모는 크지 않지만 아이들 놀이터와 레스토랑, 분수, 푸드트럭 등이 있어 다양한 활동을 하며 휴식을 취할 수 있는 장소였던 것 같다. 이 날은 학교에서 현장 학습을 나왔는지 어린 아이들이 옹기종기 모여 잔디밭에서 놀고 있었고, 부모들도 테이블에 앉아 아이들을 보며 식사를 하는 모습을 볼 수 있었다. 그 외에 근처 직장인들이 푸드 트럭 근처의 테이블이나 레스토랑에 앉아 점심 식사를 즐기고 있었고, 한 쪽에선 어느 방송국의 촬영이 진행되고 있었다.
크지는 않아도 이런 공원이 우리 동네에도 있었더라면 우리 미르 살아있을 때 산책도 자주 시키고 실컷 데리고 다니며 놀아줬을텐데 진짜 미국와서 가장 부러웠던 것이 곳곳에 아름다운 공원이 많았다는 점이었던 것 같다.
(There's Klyde Warren Park under Dallas Museum of Art, the scale isn't big, but I thought the place where did various activity and could take a rest so there was a playground and restaurant and fountain and some food trucks. Children played in a huddle on grasses whether did a field trip, their parents sat chair under table and watched kids and was eating lunch. Office workers near this park enjoyed lunch in sitting chair under table of close food trucks of restaurant, one broadcaster's shooting has been proceed.
Even It isn't big, if this park would be in my town, I would often walk and go to bring and play with Mir when Mir is alive, the most envious thing in US was many beautiful parks here and there.)

댈러스 아트 뮤지엄의 야외 광장에서 점심을 해결했다. 음식명을 잊어버렸으나, 우리나라 녹두전같은 크레이프 위에 생크림과 토마토와 오이 등을 곁들여 먹으니 정말 건강한 맛이 느껴졌다.
어쨌든 예술 거리답게 이 곳에는 웅장한 느낌의 건물들도 많다. 상업 건물들도 꽤 멋있고, 오페라 극장과 공연 센터는 꽤나 화려하며 붉은색 벽돌의 성당도 아름답다.
(I ate lunch at outside square of Dallas Museum of Art. I forgot food's name, I ate add fresh cream and tomatoes and cucumbers and etc on a crepe such a Nokdo pancake of my country, so I really felt healthy taste.
Anyway there're grand buildings here as arts street. Commercial buildings are pretty wonderful and Mayerson Symphony Center and AT&T Performing Arts Center are pretty awesome and The Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe of red bricks is beautiful.)

역시 많이 지쳐있는 상태기도 했고, 시간이 많지 않아서 식스 플로어 박물관 안으로 들어가지는 않고 이 주위만 한바퀴 둘러보았다. 식스 플로어 박물관은 원래 교과서를 보관하던 장소였으나, 1963년 존 F. 케네디 대통령의 비극적인 사건 이후 1989년에 박물관으로 다시 개장하여 케네디 대통령의 암살과 관련된 사진과 영상, 유물을 전시하고 있다.
식스플로어 박물관 건너편과 바로 앞에는 딜리 플라자가 있다. 이 곳은 원래 댈러스의 시민 지도자이자 댈러스 모닝 뉴스의 초기 편집자였던 조지 배너먼 딜리의 업적을 기리며 만든 곳이지만 안타깝게도 이 곳을 가로지르는 도로에서 케네디 대통령이 암살을 당했다.
(I didn't enter into The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza so I was also so tired and hadn't many time, I looked around near this place. The Sixth Floor Museum was a place to keep textbook, but it reopened a museum in 1989 after tragic affair of former President John F. Kennedy in 1963 and it's exhibiting photos and video and relics about Kennedy's assassination.
There's the Dealey Plaza the opposite and just front of Six Floor Museum. Dealey Plaza is naturally a park where praises achievement of George Bannerman Dealey who was civic leader of Dallas and publisher of The Dallas Morning News and creates, unfortunately Kennedy was assassinated in the crossroad of this place.)
댈러스를 마지막으로 이번 미국 여행의 관광이 마무리되었다. 이후에는 포스트시즌 경기만 보고 한국으로 돌아갔기 때문에 따로 방문한 곳은 없는데 항상 여행의 끝은 아쉬움이 더 많은 것 같다.
(This US's sightseeing was finished in finally Dallas. I didn't went another place because I watched only MLB postseason game and came back my home, the end of journey always feels something lacking more.)
