항상 글을 쓸 때면 첫 단어를 어떻게 시작해야 할지 많은 고민을 하게 되고, 그렇게 첫 줄 그리고 첫 문단만 완성하는데도 꽤 오랜 시간이 걸리는데 이번에도 여지없이 그런 긴 시간을 보내고 나서야 이렇게 첫 마침표를 찍어본다. 2016년의 끝자락에 다다른 지금에서야 지난 9월 중순부터 10월 중순까지 다녀온 27일간의 미국 여행에 대한 소소한 글을 시작하는 것이 다소 게을러 보이기는 하지만 말이다. 객관적으로는 매우 소소한 글이 되겠지만 내 개인적으로는 아주 큰 과업일지도 모르겠고......
어쨌든 작년부터 시작한 나의 버킷리스트 중 가장 달성하기 힘든 이 꿈을 이루기 위해 올해도 빠른 시점부터 많은 준비를 했고, 예상보다 긴 시간동안 MLB 야구장을 비롯한 각 도시의 명소도 함께 둘러볼 수 있었다. 아마 최소 몇 년간 다시 올 수 없는 소중한 기간이었을지도 모르겠다. 이 나라에서 일을 하려면 주말을 낀 7일 여행가는 것도 버겁기 때문에 그 추억 하나하나를 기록으로 남겨보고 싶다.
(When I always write, I agonizes a lot about how does first word start, it takes so long time what it completes only first line and first paragraph, I put the first dot after long time like that. It seems to be lazy a little what I start trivial writing about journey for 27 days being from the middle of September to the middle of October in the present time to reach the end of 2016. Maybe this becomes trivial writings objectively, but is great task in personality......
Anyway I prepared a lot from the early time this year for achieving this most difficult dream in my bucket list starting from last year, I can look around famous places of each other cities with MLB ball parks for long period than I expect. Maybe that was valuable period which can't experience the several years at least. I'd like to remain the memories one by one because If I try to work, it's so difficult tour of 7 days including weekend.)

여행 기간에 비해 다녀온 곳이 많지는 않지만 빡빡하게 일정 소화하는 것 자체를 별로 좋아하지도 않고, 주된 목표는 MLB 야구장 투어이기 때문에 그 시간을 제외한 나머지 시간을 활용할 수 있는 장소 위주로 다녀왔다. 여기서 몇몇 곳은 재방문할지도 모르니 그 때 못 돌아본 곳을 가면 될 것 같다.
올해 야구장 6곳을 돌아보면서 작년부터 지금까지 총 10곳을 돌았는데 앞으로 20곳이 더 남았고 거기에 더해 최소 3곳의 신구장이 건설될 예정이라 언제 이 꿈을 모두 이룰지는 모르겠다. 진짜 죽기 전까지 다 갈 수 있을까......
(I couldn't go many tourist attractions to compare journey period, but cause I don't like to digest intensive schedule and main bucket list is MLB ball park tour, I went mainly places where can use extra time except that time. It doesn't know I revisit several places in that ones, so I think I go omission at that time.
I went 6 ball parks this year and total 10 ball parks from last year to now, it remains 20 ones in the future, besides it will be constructed 3 new ones at least, I have no idea when this dream all comes true. Can I really go every MLB ball parks until I pass away in my life......)
이번에도 각각의 도시마다 관광 명소, MLB 야구장, MLB 게임 이렇게 세 가지의 주제로 글을 쓸 것이지만 알링턴 정규시즌의 경우 특별히 돌아본 관광지가 없어서 관광 명소 글은 생략하고, PNC 파크는 작년에도 다녀온 곳이라 야구장 투어 글을 생략할 것이며, 뉴욕 양키 스타디움 경기는 내 응원팀의 경기가 아니었어서 관광 명소에 넣을 것이고, 포트워스와 댈러스의 경우는 순수하게 관광만 했기에 관광 명소 글만 쓰게 될 것 같다. 마지막 알링턴 포스트시즌도 경기 관람만 했기 때문에 정리 글까지 하면 총 22개의 글을 써야 할 듯 싶다. 아, 언제 다 쓰지......
(I'll write 3 subjects of tourist attraction and MLB ball park and game at each cities at this time, however there isn't specially tourist attraction in case of regular season in Arlington, so I omit about tourist attraction's writing, also I'll omit ball park tour's writing cause I went to PNC park last year, again, it'll insert a game about yanks' game in New York to tourist attraction writing due to not my supporting time's game, I think I will write only tourist attraction's writing so it purely looked around in Fort Worth and Dallas. I think I will write total 22 writing to include complete post cause I watched only games about the final ALDS in Arlington. Um, when can I write all......)

[벨버디어 성(Belvedere Castle)]

센트럴 파크 중앙에 위치하고 있는 벨버디어 성은 1800년대 말에 고딕 양식과 로마네스크 양식으로 지어졌으며 1919년 이후 전망대가 만들어졌고, 공식적인 기상 관측소이기도 했었다. 「벨버디어」 의 뜻은 이탈리아어로 아름다운 풍경 또는 파노라마(전체적으로 쭉 늘어선) 풍경이라고 한다. 현재는 거의 전망대로 사용되고 있고, 내부에 기념품 샵과 안내소가 있다.
벨버디어 성 전망대에서 저 사진처럼 터틀 연못과 맨하탄 건물의 조화로운 모습을 볼 수 있다.
(Belvedere Castle locating the Center of Central Park was built hybrid of Gothic and Romanesque styles in the late 1800s, was made observation deck and has also been official weather station since 1919. Belvedere means beautiful view or panoramic view in Italian. It is using almost observation deck and contains souvenir's shop and information desk now.
It can watch harmonious view of Turtle Pond and Manhattan's buildings such a photo on observation deck in Belvedere Castle.)

시간이 좀 지체되어 이 곳을 마지막으로 센트럴 파크를 나왔다. 물론 미술관 안을 돌아볼만한 시간은 되지 않아서 겉모습만 보고 다음 장소로 이동할 수 밖에 없었다. 바로 양키 스타디움을 가야했기 때문에......
메트로폴리탄 미술관은 1866년에 파리에서 미국 독립기념일을 축하하기 위해 모인 미국인들의 회합에 의해 설립이 제안되어 1870년 소규모로 개관하였다. 1880년 지금의 이 자리로 이전하였고, 동서고금을 막론한 전 세계의 회화와 조각, 사진, 공예품 300여만점이 전시되어있다고 한다.

Metropolitan Museum of Art suggested founding by gathering of Americans who met for celebrating Independence day in Paris in 1866, opened a small scale in 1870. It moved this location of now in 1880, I heard there were exhibited 3 millions of paintings and sculptures and photos handicraft in the world.)

마침내 미국 야구의 상징이라고 말할 수 있는 뉴욕 양키스의 홈구장인 양키 스타디움을 방문했다. 양키스는 내가 좋아하는 팀은 아니지만 보스턴 레드삭스와 함께 MLB에서 가장 인기많은 팀이고, 전통과 명예를 중시하는 팀으로 유명하다. 현재 쓰고 있는 이 양키 스타디움도 비교적 최근인 2009년에 개장한 시설로 약 15억 달러의 천문학적인 건설 비용이 들었다고 하는데 그 비용은 양키즈 구단과 뉴욕시가 반반씩 부담했다고 한다. 그래서 구단이 뉴욕시와 40년동안 년간 10달러의 장기임대계약을 체결할 수 있었던 것 같은데 그에 반해 MLB에서 가장 비싼 티켓값을 자랑한다. -_-/
(Finally I visited Yankee Stadium being home of the New York Yankees that can be symbol of America baseball. I don't like New York Yankees, but New York Yankees's the most popular team with Boston Red Sox in MLB, it's the famous team that is bothered about tradition and honor. This Yankee Stadium using the present opened relatively recent in 2009, it paid astronomical construction cost of 1,500M dollars, the cost paid Yankees team and New York city half and half. So it looked like Yankees team could make a long-term lease's contract of 10 dollars each a year with New York city for 40 years, on the other hand, it boasts the most expensive ticket's cost in MLB. -_-/)

입구 쪽에 있는 기념품샵보다 그레이트 홀의 샵이 규모가 큰 만큼 물건도 많아서 더 볼 게 많다. 양키스의 상징색인 네이비 계열은 색상 자체가 무난한 편이라 여러가지 상품을 만드는 것이 더 유리하기는 한데 그와 비교하면 생각보다 괜찮은 건 별로 없었던 것 같다. 다른 팀들이 워낙 잘 만들어서 그런지 아무래도 비교가 되어서 그런 것도 같고......
(Store of Great hall is a lot of goods more as bigger scale than team store being way of the entrance, so there're a lot of things to see more. Navy color being symbol of Yankees is common, so making some goods is more advantageous, but I thought it wasn't favorite things than I thought comparison with that. Somehow I think it compare with another teams whether another teams makes goods pretty well......)

야구장의 그라운드는 정말 아름다웠다. 사실 양키 스타디움 주위의 분위기가 너무 삭막하고 위험해 보였기 때문에 그 부분에서 실망을 좀 했었는데 야구장의 여러가지 내부 시설이나 그라운드 모습은 굉장히 인상적이었다. 그리고 일단 큰 규모의 야구장이 시원시원해보이는 느낌도 든다.
(Ground of Yankee Stadium was so beautiful. In fact, I was disappointing cause I felt so desolate and unsafe near Yankee Stadium, but some internal facilities and ground of ball park was pretty impressive. And I feel cool about ball park of big scale.)

뉴욕에서의 마지막 날은 자유의 여신상을 본 후 브루클린 다리로 야경을 보러 가고 싶었는데 몸 상태가 너무 안 좋았는지 아니면 빈 속으로 가서 그랬는지 비바람 때문에 훼리가 너무 많이 흔들려서 멀미를 심하게 했고, 현기증이 계속 남아 있었어서 자유의 여신상과 정선 언니만 보고 이른 시간에 숙소로 돌아갔다. 미르 떠나고 난 후 감당할 수 없는 스트레스를 받아서 그랬는지 건강이 너무 안 좋아지긴 한 것 같다.
맨하탄에서 자유의 여신상이 있는 리버티 섬을 가려면 훼리를 타고 15분 정도 가야 하는데 그 전에 미리 티켓을 구입해야 한다. 난 한국에서 온라인으로 미리 끊어놨었는데 꼭대기까지 올라갈 수 있는 티켓은 이미 매진이었기 때문에 그냥 발 밑 정도까지만 올라가는 티켓을 끊었다.
훼리를 타기 위해서는 로워 맨하탄의 배터리 파크로 가야 한다. 훼리를 타기 전에 빗 속을 뚫고 배터리 파크도 한바퀴 쭉 둘러보았는데 좀 여유있게 와서 공원을 한 바퀴 돌아보는 것도 괜찮은 것 같다.
(The final day in New York, I wanted to look night view at Brooklyn Bridge after looking Statue of Liberty, I suffered from seasickness so wherry shook very much due to rain and wind whether my health wasn't so good or it was hungry, I saw Statue of Liberty and my friend so I continuously had dizziness and came back at my hostel in the early time. I think my health is getting worse a lot whether I get a stress that I can't bear after going away Mir.
It goes to Liberty Island being Statue of Liberty from Manhattan and should get on wherry and go about 15 minutes, it should purchase a ticket beforehand. I reserved the ticket online in advance in Korea, I reserved a ticket which can go up until foot of statue cause a ticket which can already go up until the top of statue.
It should go to Battery Park of lower Manhattan for getting on wherry. I looked around Battery Park in raining weather before getting on wherry, I think it arrives this one faster and looks around park.)

비바람이 휘몰아쳐서 관광하기 너무 힘든 날이었다. 몸 상태만 나쁘지 않았다면 그럭저럭 견디긴 했겠지만 몸상태까지 안 좋으니 더 힘들었던 것 같다.
어쨌든 리버티 섬에 도착하여 이 곳에 대한 정보를 담은 오디오를 받은 후 자유의 여신상에 올라가기 위해 줄을 섰는데 이렇게 날씨가 안 좋음에도 불구하고 너무 많은 사람들이 있었다. 뉴저지 쪽에서 온 사람들도 있었을 것이다.
(Tour was so tough day due to shaking rain and wind. If my health wasn't bad, I could bear somehow, but I thought I was tougher due to bad health.
Anyway I lined up for going up on Statue of Liberty after I arrived at Liberty Island and got a audio which is information about this place, even though it was so bad weather, there were so many people. It'll have people coming in New Jersey.)

자유의 여신상에 올라가기 전 이것이 어떤 것이고 어떤 방법으로 지어졌는지 그리고 이것과 관련한 여러 작품들도 소개해주는 박물관이 있다. 섬 입구에서 받은 오디오를 들으며 관람하면 더 도움이 되긴 하지만 영어 듣기는 특히나 더 못해서 나에겐 별 도움은 안된 것 같다. 앞으로는 관광할 곳에 대해 약식으로라도 좀 공부한 후 가야겠다는 생각을 더 많이 했다. 예습이 좀 되어 있으면 그 중에 들리는 영어도 있을테니 말이다.
자유의 여신상은 프랑스와 미국의 양국 국민들의 친목과 미국의 독립 100주년을 축하하기 위해 프랑스인들의 모금으로 1886년 완공되었고 프랑스가 이를 미국에 증정하였다. 1924년 미국 국립 기념물로 지정되었고, 1984년에 유네스코 세계문화유산에 등록되었다. 원래 조립식 구조물이라 프랑스가 처음 선물할 당시에는 조립이 되어있지 않는 상태로 미국에 와서 추후에 이를 다시 조립했고, 프랑스에는 이를 축소한 조각상이 있다고 한다. 자유의 여신상 오른손에는 횃불, 왼손에는 독립 선언서를 들고 있어 자유 민주주의의 상징이 되었다.
(Before going up to Statue of Liberty, it has a museum where explains what is this and which method was built and some works with regard to this. It gets more help that it listens a audio which gets in island's entrance and watches, but it thinks it doesn't get help to me so I can't do listening English a lot. I think much more I'll go tour after I shortly study about tourist attractions in the future. If it does preparation, it'll listen English a bit.
Statue of Liberty was completed by French's fundraising for friendship of both people between France and America in 1886, France presented this one to America. This one was designated National Memorial of US in 1924 and was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Naturally this one is self-assembly structure, so it was a condition that wasn't assembled when France presented at first time and assembled these again after arriving US, it heard there was a statue minimizing this one in France. This one became symbol of liberal democracy so the right hand of Statue of Liberty holds torch and the left hand holds the Declaration of Independence.)

날씨가 좋았어야 사진이 멋지게 나왔을텐데 너무 아쉽다. 뉴욕에 있는 기간동안 날씨 좋은 날이 없었지만 이 날은 가히 최고로 안 좋은 날이었기 때문에 기념 사진도 엉망이고......
자유의 여신상 전체 모습을 보려면 해안가 쪽의 전망대로 가서 봐야 하는데 날씨가 좋았다면 맨하탄과 엘리스 섬의 풍경도 아름다웠을 것 같고, 자유의 여신상 전체 모습을 끼고 찍은 사진의 결과물도 좋았을 것 같다.
(If it was good weather, photos would be good, I feel lacking a lot. It wasn't continuously good weather in staying in New York, souvenir photo wasn't good......
It should go observation platform of waterfront for watching a whole of Statue of Liberty, if it was good, it thinks landscape of Manhattan and Ellis Island would be beautiful and photos' output including a whole of Statue of Liberty would also be good.)
[미술관(Art Museum)]
다시 맨하탄 미드타운 쪽으로 가서 좀 쉬다가 저녁에 정선 언니를 만나 한 사설 미술관에 갔다. 여기는 초대받은 사람만 갈 수 있는 곳이라고 해서 언니가 가져온 티켓으로 입장했었는데 실제로는 티켓 없이 들어온 사람들도 있었던 모양이다. 언니 친구분이 이 미술관의 한 자그마한 공간에서 한국 화가들 작품을 모아 그 작품들을 알리며 판매하는 일을 했었고 그로 인해 우리도 멋진 작품들을 감상할 수 있었으나, 내 몸 상태때문에 오래 보지 못해서 너무 아쉬웠다.
(I moved to Manhattan midtown back and rested a little and met with my friend in the evening and went to private art museum. I heard only people who give invitation could go, so I entered by tickets which my friend brings, but it thought there were people who entered without ticket in fact. A woman who my friend knows gathers works of Korean artists and promotes and sales that ones in one small space of this art museum, we could watch great works according to that, but I regretted a lot cause I could watch all things due to my health.)

숙소로 돌아온 후 호스텔 옥상에 올라가서 퀸즈보로 다리와 맨하탄의 야경을 찍었다. 건물이 더 높았으면 더 멋진 장면을 찍을 수 있었을텐데 그 점은 아쉽지만 야경을 사랑하는 한 사람으로서, 항상 여행의 마지막 밤은 야경과 함께 해야만 제대로된 마무리가 되는 것 같다. 브루클린 다리에 가서 야경을 봤으면 최고의 장면을 감상하며 그 흔적을 남길 수 있었을텐데 그 아쉬움은 다음 기회로 미뤄야 할 것 같다. 어차피 뉴욕을 한번 더 가긴 해야 하니까.......
(I went up to rooftop of hostel after coming back and took photo of night view of Queensboro Bridge and Manhattan. If the building is higher, I could take more wonderful landscape, I feel lacking about that, but I think to be finishing properly the last night of tour always should be with night view as one person that I love night view. If I go to Brooklyn Bridge and watch night view, I would watch the most scene and leave the rememberable trace, I think the wanting feeling postpones to next time. Cause I should go to New York, once again......)
