가끔은 참 내 자신이 대책없이 느껴진다. 남들 눈으로 보기에는 한심해 보일 수 있지만 그렇다고 할지라도 버킷 리스트를 달성하고자 하는 이 꿈과 의지를 멈출 수 없는 아이러니는 대체 무엇이란 말인지...... 뭔가 설명할 수 없는 이 급박함은 최근 몇 년동안 건강이 좋아지지 않으면서 비롯되었고, 어쩌면 생각 외로 빨리 이 세상을 떠날 수 있겠다는 생각 또한 들어서 그런 것 같다. 이제는 well-dying이 내 인생의 모토가 되어가고 있다.
힘든 시간을 거쳐오는 와중에 어찌저찌 9월말 며칠과 추석 연휴를 이용해서 또 다시 야구장 투어를 할 수 있었는데 그 부분에 대해서 항상 하느님께 감사드린다. 이렇게 내 꿈을 끊임없이 실천할 수 있도록 항상 도와주시고 계시고, 앞으로도 도와주시리라 믿고 있다.
(Sometimes I feel reckless myself pretty much. Another people think pathetically me, but what is this irony that it can't stop this dream and will to achieve my bucket list...... This urgency can't explain something originated my health not good recently for a couple years, it also feels like maybe I will be able to pass away from this world quickly than I expect. Well-dying is becoming motto of my life from someday.
While I have spent rough time, I could do MLB ballpark tour for some days including thanksgiving holiday in the end of September again, I appreciate about the part to my God. He's constantly helping me to achieve my dream like this, I believe he helps me in succession.)

8박 10일이라는 다소 짧은 기간이기는 하였으나, 사실 이 기간도 예상보다 더 길어진 것이라서 정말 감사하는 마음으로 다녀올 수 있었다. 내 응원팀들의 경기와 MLB 구장 투어를 목적으로 한 여행이었기에 이번에 새로 다녀온 곳은 2곳이었고, 알링턴은 2016년부터 매년 한번씩은 들르고 있어서 뭔가 제 2의 고향같은 기분이 든다. 안타까운 건 내가 미국에서 살고 싶은 도시 목록에 달라스와 알링턴은 없다는 점이지만...... :)
으레 그래왔던대로 간 곳마다 여행 - 야구장 투어 - 야구 경기 이렇게 세 챕터로 나누어 글을 쓸 것이며 알링턴에서는 특별히 관광을 하지는 않아서 정리글까지 총 9개의 글로 마무리할 수 있을 것이다.
{It was a short time of 8 nights 10 days though, I could go having thankful mind so it was honestly longer than I expected, The city where I have visited first in this time was 2 ones cause it was purpose for baseball games of my teams and MLB ballparks tour, I feel like Arlington is my second hometown whether I've been staying once every year since 2016. The sad thing's there is nothing Dallas and Arlington in the city list which I hope to live...... :)
As I've always been doing, I'll post to divide 3 chapters like tour-baseball park tour-baseball game wherever I visited, finish total 9 reviews including epilogue so I didn't do sightseeing especially in Arlington.}
5. [MLB TOUR(22)] 쿠어스 필드 : 콜로라도 로키스의 홈구장 (Coors Field : Home of the Colorado Rockies)

드디어 콜로라도 로키스의 홈구장 쿠어스 필드에 입성......
극 타자 친화적인 구장으로 말도 많고 탈도 많은 구장이지만 중계 방송에서 보이는 그 모습 자체만으로도 꼭 가보고 싶었던 곳이었는데 이제서야 이렇게 들를 수 있었다. 다운타운 내에 위치해있어서 접근성도 좋고, 치안도 비교적 괜찮다. 사실 의외로 덴버 시내에도 홈리스들이 참 많던데(역시 대도시긴 하다는;;;) 경찰들도 곳곳에 많이 포진해있고, 사람들이 많아서 크게 위험하지는 않았던 것 같다.
다만, 내 숙소 가는 쪽에 홈리스 무리들이 곳곳에 몰려 있었기 때문에 걸을 수 있는 거리임에도 불구하고, 경기 후에는 그냥 우버를 타고 들어가야 했다. 어쨌든 그거 빼고는 나의 기대에 전혀 어긋남이 없는 훌륭한 도시와 구장이었다고 단언할 수 있겠다!

As it's extremely hitter-friendly park, there are many gossip though, I'd certainly like to go there only the image seen in broadcasting in itself, I could stop by here like this in the late time. It has good accessibility cause it is in downtown, public security's right. In fact, there are a lot of homeless in the Denver downtown than I thought(it's a big city;;;), I thought it isn't bigly dangerous so it has many cops and people everywhere. Even though it was distance walking, I went back my accommodation riding Uber after game ending cause the way of my accommodation has many homeless somewhere. Anyway I'll be able to say it is a wonderful city and ballpark that corresponds my expectation except that!)
[쿠어스 필드 외부 (Outside Coors Field)]
애초에 구장 투어를 계획하긴 했는데 빡세게 일정을 소화하기에는 내 체력이 따라와주지 못했던 상황이라 그냥 혼자서 이렇게 돌아보는 걸 선택했다. 로키 마운틴 여기저기 연어색의 옅은 레드 사암이 포진해 있고 이 내용을 로키 마운틴 국립 공원 글에도 언급했는데 쿠어스 필드도 그 특징을 그대로 따온 듯한 느낌이 들었다.
1962년 지어진 다저 스타디움 이후 내셔널리그 팀 중에서 야구 전용 경기장을 가지게 된 첫번째 팀이라고 하며 1996년 로버트 드니로와 웨슬리 스나입스를 주연으로 한 영화 'The fan' 에서 이 곳이 등장하기도 했다.
(At the first, I had planned Coors Field tour, but I decided to look around lonely like this so my physical strength was weak for digesting so toughly. There're many pale red sandstones of salmon color somewhere in Rocky Mountain, I mentioned about it on the post 'Rocky Mountain National Park', it felt Coors Field brings the features in itself.
Colorado Rockies is the first team having baseball-only park in National League since Dodger Stadium was built in 1962, Coors Field appeared in a film 'The fan' which Robert De Niro and Wesley Snipes were leading actors in 1996.)
[쿠어스 필드 내부 (Inside Coors Field)]
1995년에 지어졌으니 벌써 20년이 지난 구장인데도 전혀 그 흔적을 알 수 없을 정도로 깔끔하게 정돈되어있다. 물론 사이사이 6번 정도 업그레이드를 해왔다고 들었던 것 같지만 거의 최근에 지어졌다고 봐도 믿을 수 있을 것 같다.
쿠어스 필드에 얽힌 스토리도 참으로 신기하고 재미있다. 이 구장이 지어지는 동안 7피트(2.1m)와 1,000파운드(450kg)의 크기를 가진 트리케라톱스 두개골을 포함하여 공룡 화석 몇 점이 발견되었고, 이로 인해 구장 이름 후보 중 '쥬라기 공원'도 있었다고 한다. >.< 그래서 이 트리케라톱스를 본 따 로키스의 마스코트 디거가 탄생한 것이라고 한다. 로키스 팬들이 이 마스코트를 안 좋아하던데 얽힌 이 스토리를 알고 있을지 모르겠다. 알고 있었다면 싫어할 수는 없을 듯 싶은데......
그리고 저기 보이는 Blue Moon Brewery at The Sandlot이라는 레스토랑 겸 맥주집이 꽤 유명하단다. 술과 안 친해서 잘 몰랐는데 자료를 찾아보니 쿠어스 브루어리 회사가 이 곳에서 소규모로 수제 맥주를 연구하면서 생산하기 시작한 것이 Great American Beer Festival 에서 다수의 상을 받으면서 유명해졌고, 현재는 대량 생산을 하고 있다. 밀로 만든 벨기에 스타일의 맥주라고 한다.
{Even though it already passed 20 years as being built in 1995, this ballpark is cleanly tided as it doesn't know the part at all. Of course, I've heard renovation about 6 times between the past and present, but I think I can believe it is a ballpark was built almost recently.
A story about Coors Field is pretty surprised and interesting. During construction, workers discovered a number of dinosaur fossils throughout the grounds including 7-foot(2.1m) and 1,000pounds(450kg) triceratops skull, because of this, 'Jurassic Park' was one of the first names to be considered for the stadium. >.< So Dinger being mascot of Rockies was born by this triceratops. I heard Rockies fans don't like this mascot, I'm not sure they have been known about this story. If they've already known this fact, I think it isn't able to hate it......
And I searched any information about a restaurant and brewery 'BlueMoon Brewery at The Sandlot' in that photo is very famous. I didn't know well so I'm not a friend with alcohol, the result to search, what Coors Brewery Company starts to experiment and produce craft beer by a small scale here at first has won multiply awards at the Great American Beer Festival, been famous, craft beer is now mass-produced by Coors. It's a Belgian-style wheat beer.}
[쿠어스 필드의 외야에서... (At outfield of Coors Field...)]
쿠어스 필드의 외야 중간펜스 뒤쪽에는 로키 산맥의 전형적인 모습을 반영한 폭포와 분수, 울창한 소나무들과 식물들로 꾸며져 있어 그 매력을 더해주고 있으며 대형 스크린을 잘 관찰해보면 위쪽은 로키스 로고와 산의 형상, 아래쪽은 일반 사각형 라인업 및 스코어보드로 나뉘어져 있다. 찾아보니 저 대형 전광판이 한 개로 보이지만 사실은 두 개가 합쳐져 있는 것 같다. 그리고 작은 몇 개의 스크린이 있고, 옆의 루프탑 하단에는 다른 팀의 스코어를 볼 수 있는 긴 리본 스코어보드를 보유하고 있다.
저 루프탑 좌석은 2013시즌이 종료된 후 업그레이드 된 곳으로 야외의 파티덱으로 개조되었다고 한다.
(Behind center field of Coors Field is decorated waterfall and fountain and dense pine trees and plants reflects the typical environment of the Rocky Mountain, so it adds the attraction, to watch large screen well, the top part is logo of Rockies and shape of mountain, the bottom part being general quadrangle displays line-up and scoreboard and stats. To search, the large screen look one thing, however it seems to be actually united two part. And there are some small screens, long ribbon scoreboard can see scores of another teams on the bottom of rooftop in the next.

덴버에서의 마지막 날, 경기를 좀 늦게 보는 것으로 생각하고, 구장을 상세하게 둘러보면서 시내 야경을 보기 위해 어두워질 때까지 저 핫도그를 먹으며 기다렸다. 웬지 이 곳에서의 시내 야경이 아름다울 것 같았기 때문이다. 위쪽에서 봤으면 더 아름다웠을텐데 어쨌든 야구장에서 보는 야경도 참 매력적인 것 같다. 다음에 갈 때는 높은 고층 빌딩 같은 곳을 찾아서 덴버의 야경을 더 제대로 감상해보고 싶다.
아, 저 핫도그 또한 정말 맛있었다. 양도 많은 편이라 속도 든든했고, 꽉 차있는 스테이크와 치즈가 참 일품이었다는......!!!
(The last day in Denver, I decided to watch game a little late time, looked around ballpark in detail, waited to eat that hotdog until going down sun to watch downtown night scene. Because I thought downtown night scene will be beautiful in here. If I watched it the upper deck, it would be more beautiful, anyway night view seen in ballpark looks pretty wonderful. I'd like to watch better night scene of Denver in a skyscraper in the next time.
Ah, that hotdog was really delicious. I was full due to big size's hotdog, a full of steak and cheese was pretty good......!!!)
[쿠어스 필드 전체 (A Whole of Coors Field)]
사실 원래 좌석은 1루 덕아웃 근처였기 때문에 야간의 이 전체샷을 찍기 위해 3층까지 올라가서 기다렸다. 3경기나 볼 수 있어서 가능한 계획이긴 했으나, 역시 전체적으로 중앙의 최상단에서 보는 미국 야구장의 모습은 감탄하지 않을 수가 없는 것 같다. 로키스가 올 시즌도 성적이 좋았어서 관중들도 빽빽이 들어차있었고, 뭔가 불규칙한 느낌의 전체적인 구조나 라인이 더더욱 매력적이기까지 하다. 이 정도면 미국 야구장 중에는 대칭형 구장이기는 한데 그래도 전체적인 분야에서 다소 정형화된 틀에 박혀 살아가는 우리나라를 생각해보면 사소해 보이지만 이런 자유로움이 대단하다는 생각이 든다.
물론 요즘에 새로 지어지는 한국 야구장도 무조건 대칭형으로 지으려고 하지는 않는데 뭔가 어설프다는 느낌을 지울 수는 없으니 말이다. 진짜 고척돔은 실망스럽기 그지 없었고(물론 야구가 야외 스포츠인만큼 기본적으로 돔구장을 좋아하지는 않는다.) 아직 가보지 않아서 섣불리 평가할 수 없기는 해도 중계방송으로 본 라이언스 파크는 최악이었다. 대칭형이냐 비대칭형이냐 이런 것이 중요한 것은 아니고, 큰 돈 들여서 그렇게 밖에 못하는 게 한탄스러울 따름이다.
{In fact, I waited in the 3rd floor to take this whole of picture in night because my seat was close 1st dugout. It was possible plan so I could watch 3 games, but it feels sooooo impressive ballpark landscape seen in the middle of upper deck in the whole. There were crowded due to good record of Rockies, the whole construction or line of irregular something feeling is charming more and more. Coors Field is almost symmetric park in the ballparks of USA though, If it considers my country that is living in standard pattern somewhat in the whole of parts, I think it is trivial but freedom like this pretty wonderful.
Of course, baseball stadiums of Korea were built recently weren't unconditionally symmetric style though, I can't be ineffaceable clumsy something feeling. I was really disappointed(Of course, I don't basically like ballpark having retractable roof or dome as baseball is outdoor sports), even if I can't estimate well so I've never been, Lions park where I have watched on broadcasting was the worst stadium. It isn't important being symmetric or non-symmetric, I feel lacking what performance wasn't good comparing with paying a big money.)
쿠어스 필드를 다녀온 이후, 내가 가본 23곳의 MLB 야구장 순위가 다시 바뀌었다. PNC 파크 - AT&T 파크 - 펫코 파크 다음이 이 쿠어스 필드인 것 같으니 말이다. 아니, 펫코 파크와 비슷한 듯 하다. 그 다음이 프로그레시브 필드인 듯 싶은데 여행 리뷰를 모두 마무리할 시점에 다시 한번 순위를 정리해 봐야겠다. 어찌되었든 로키스와 덴버 모두 다 마음에 드는 곳이라서 아무래도 또 다시 갈 기회가 될 듯 싶고, 빨리 그 날이 다시 오길 기다려본다.
(After I've visited Coors Field, the ranking of 23 MLB ballparks where I have been was changed again. I feel like the next one of PNC Park-AT&T Park-Petco Park is Coors Field. No, it looks like it with Petco park. I think the next is Progressive Field, however I'll arrange the ranking again when I all finish travel reviews. Anyway I think I will make a chance visiting once again cause I all love team being Rockies and Denver, I will quickly waiting the day again.)
