항상 글을 쓸 때면 첫 단어를 어떻게 시작해야 할지 많은 고민을 하게 되고, 그렇게 첫 줄 그리고 첫 문단만 완성하는데도 꽤 오랜 시간이 걸리는데 이번에도 여지없이 그런 긴 시간을 보내고 나서야 이렇게 첫 마침표를 찍어본다. 2016년의 끝자락에 다다른 지금에서야 지난 9월 중순부터 10월 중순까지 다녀온 27일간의 미국 여행에 대한 소소한 글을 시작하는 것이 다소 게을러 보이기는 하지만 말이다. 객관적으로는 매우 소소한 글이 되겠지만 내 개인적으로는 아주 큰 과업일지도 모르겠고......
어쨌든 작년부터 시작한 나의 버킷리스트 중 가장 달성하기 힘든 이 꿈을 이루기 위해 올해도 빠른 시점부터 많은 준비를 했고, 예상보다 긴 시간동안 MLB 야구장을 비롯한 각 도시의 명소도 함께 둘러볼 수 있었다. 아마 최소 몇 년간 다시 올 수 없는 소중한 기간이었을지도 모르겠다. 이 나라에서 일을 하려면 주말을 낀 7일 여행가는 것도 버겁기 때문에 그 추억 하나하나를 기록으로 남겨보고 싶다.
(When I always write, I agonizes a lot about how does first word start, it takes so long time what it completes only first line and first paragraph, I put the first dot after long time like that. It seems to be lazy a little what I start trivial writing about journey for 27 days being from the middle of September to the middle of October in the present time to reach the end of 2016. Maybe this becomes trivial writings objectively, but is great task in personality......
Anyway I prepared a lot from the early time this year for achieving this most difficult dream in my bucket list starting from last year, I can look around famous places of each other cities with MLB ball parks for long period than I expect. Maybe that was valuable period which can't experience the several years at least. I'd like to remain the memories one by one because If I try to work, it's so difficult tour of 7 days including weekend.)

여행 기간에 비해 다녀온 곳이 많지는 않지만 빡빡하게 일정 소화하는 것 자체를 별로 좋아하지도 않고, 주된 목표는 MLB 야구장 투어이기 때문에 그 시간을 제외한 나머지 시간을 활용할 수 있는 장소 위주로 다녀왔다. 여기서 몇몇 곳은 재방문할지도 모르니 그 때 못 돌아본 곳을 가면 될 것 같다.
올해 야구장 6곳을 돌아보면서 작년부터 지금까지 총 10곳을 돌았는데 앞으로 20곳이 더 남았고 거기에 더해 최소 3곳의 신구장이 건설될 예정이라 언제 이 꿈을 모두 이룰지는 모르겠다. 진짜 죽기 전까지 다 갈 수 있을까......
(I couldn't go many tourist attractions to compare journey period, but cause I don't like to digest intensive schedule and main bucket list is MLB ball park tour, I went mainly places where can use extra time except that time. It doesn't know I revisit several places in that ones, so I think I go omission at that time.
I went 6 ball parks this year and total 10 ball parks from last year to now, it remains 20 ones in the future, besides it will be constructed 3 new ones at least, I have no idea when this dream all comes true. Can I really go every MLB ball parks until I pass away in my life......)
이번에도 각각의 도시마다 관광 명소, MLB 야구장, MLB 게임 이렇게 세 가지의 주제로 글을 쓸 것이지만 알링턴 정규시즌의 경우 특별히 돌아본 관광지가 없어서 관광 명소 글은 생략하고, PNC 파크는 작년에도 다녀온 곳이라 야구장 투어 글을 생략할 것이며, 뉴욕 양키 스타디움 경기는 내 응원팀의 경기가 아니었어서 관광 명소에 넣을 것이고, 포트워스와 댈러스의 경우는 순수하게 관광만 했기에 관광 명소 글만 쓰게 될 것 같다. 마지막 알링턴 포스트시즌도 경기 관람만 했기 때문에 정리 글까지 하면 총 22개의 글을 써야 할 듯 싶다. 아, 언제 다 쓰지......
(I'll write 3 subjects of tourist attraction and MLB ball park and game at each cities at this time, however there isn't specially tourist attraction in case of regular season in Arlington, so I omit about tourist attraction's writing, also I'll omit ball park tour's writing cause I went to PNC park last year, again, it'll insert a game about yanks' game in New York to tourist attraction writing due to not my supporting time's game, I think I will write only tourist attraction's writing so it purely looked around in Fort Worth and Dallas. I think I will write total 22 writing to include complete post cause I watched only games about the final ALDS in Arlington. Um, when can I write all......)
18) [MLB Ball Park TOUR(10)] 부시 스타디움 : 세인트루이스 카디널스의 홈구장 (Busch Stadium : Home of the St. Louis Cardinals)
[부시 스타디움(Busch Stadium)]
부시 스타디움은 2006년에 개장한 세인트루이스 카디널스의 홈구장이다. 과거 카디널스의 소유주였고, 현재 버드와이저를 소유한 어거스트 부시를 기리는 의미로 명명되었으며 붉은색 벽돌로 지어진 고풍스러운 느낌의 야구장이다. 명문팀답게 카디널스의 유명한 선수들과 명예의 전당에 헌액된 선수들의 동상이 야구장 모양을 따라 늘어서있고, 바로 옆에 있는 볼파크 빌리지라는 쇼핑몰도 부시 스타디움의 분위기와 비슷한 느낌이다.
(Busch Stadium's home of the St. Louis Cardinals that opens in 2006. It was named meaning to praise August Busch own Budweiser now, it's a ball park of antique feeling built red brick. 세인트루이스에 도착한 10/1 토요일은 안타깝게도 경기 시간이 12시 10분인가 그랬어서 경기를 볼 수 없었다. 그래서 호텔 주위 게이트웨이 아치와 세인트루이스 구 프랑스 성당을 둘러본 후 미리 야구장 동선 좀 파악할 겸 부시 스타디움으로 갔다.
어차피 경기는 끝난 상황이라 그 옆에 있는 볼파크 빌리지에서 먹을 거리 좀 살까 싶어서 구경하는데 저 초콜릿 전문점이 눈에 띈 것이다. 들어가니 많은 사람들이 몰려 있었는데 직원이 초콜릿 만드는 과정을 직접 보여주며 설명하고 있었고, 나도 옆에 살짝 있다보니 약간 시식을 할 수 있었다. 엄청 달긴 했으나, 워낙 단 것을 좋아하다보니 작은 덩어리 2개를 사가지고 왔고, 정말 그 자리에서 다 먹을 수 없을만큼 달다보니 조금씩 아껴서 먹은 것 같다. 한 덩어리는 결국 못 먹어서 윤아씨에게 선물로 줬다는!!!
볼파크 빌리지 건물을 들어서면 화려한 스포츠 바와 레스토랑이 있어 많은 카즈 팬들이 즐거운 시간을 보내고 있었다. 댄스에 심취해있는 분들을 비롯하여 테이블에 앉아 맥주를 마시며 여러 종류의 스포츠를 보거나 일행과 대화를 나누는 사람들이 많았고, 2층에도 여러 레스토랑이나 바가 있었던 것 같다.
(Saturday on Oct, 1 arriving in St. Louis, I couldn't watch a baseball game so game time was unfortunately 12:10pm. So I went to Busch Stadium for grasping moving line beforehand after I looked around Gateway Arch and The Cathedral the Basilica of St. Louis, King of France neat at my hotel.
I looked around for that I tried to buy a little meals in Ball Park Village next to that so game finished, I was evident that chocolate store. I came in and it had many people, staff directly showed and explained a process to make chocolate, I was there next to people and could eat a little. It was sweet a lot, but I bought 2 piece of a small chocolate cause I like sweet things a lot, I ate a bit of one so sweet as I couldn't all eat the place. I couldn't finally eat a piece of one, so I gave to my friend!!!
It enters into Ball Park Village, there're some splendid sports bar and restaurants, so many Cards' fans spent pleasant time. There were many people who sat seat under table and drank beer and watched some sports or talked to their party, it thought there were some restaurants or bars in the second floor.)
참 유쾌한 카즈팬들... ㅎㅎㅎ 어찌보면 사진 촬영도 내가 좋아하는 개인적인 업무 중의 하나일텐데 중간중간 저런 분들의 넉살과 유쾌함이 나에게 여유를 준다. 저 사진을 당사자들에게 주면 더 좋을텐데 이름도 모르는 분들이라 더욱 안타깝다.

고풍스러운 붉은색 벽돌의 야구장인점을 제외하고 사실 야구장 외부 쪽은 눈에 뛸 정도로 멋지고 아름다운 부분은 없기는 한데 세인트루이스 카디널스 팀에 대한 역사는 잘 담겨있는 느낌이었다. 저 바닥에 보면 각 년도별로 기념해야할 선수들이나 팀의 우승 기록이 새겨져있는데 카디널스는 총 11회의 월드시리즈 우승, 총 19회의 내셔널리그 우승, 총 13회의 지구 우승을 달성한 둘째가라면 서러워할 정도의 명문팀이다.
또한 앞에 언급했듯이 팀스토어 앞에는 역대 세인트루이스의 굵은 역사를 쓴 선수들의 동상이 포진되어 있다. 특히 스탠 뮤지얼과 로저스 혼즈비는 워낙 유명한 명예의 전당 헌액자라 그들의 동상이 눈에 띄었다. 스탠 뮤지얼은 특이한 타격폼으로도 유명하지만......
저 카즈팬 아저씨는 내 기억엔 노스 캐롤라이나에서 응원하러 왔다고 들었던 것 같다. 아직 이 쪽은 전혀 가보지 못해서 어디인지 감도 안 잡히지만 본인 친구분 중에도 한국인이 있다고 하시면서 더 친밀감을 표시하셨다. ^^
(Honestly there wasn't great and beautiful part as striking outside of ball park except that it is a ball park of antique red brick, but I felt to express well about St. Louis Cardinals' history. It sees that ground and engraves memorable players or team's victory record each year, Cardinals is a noble team who achieved World Series title of 11 total and National League title of 19 total and Division title of 13 total as second to none.
Also there're statues of players who write big history of St. Louis overall in front of team store as mentioned head. Especially Stan Musial and Rogers Hornsby is famous hall of famer, I was striking their statues. Stan Musial is famous about special batting form......
I heard Mr. Cards Fan came to support from North Carolina in my memory. I've never been this way, so I don't know where that state is, but he told he had a Korean friend and showed intimacy more.^^)

카디널스 팀스토어에도 살만한 물건들이 많았지만 역시 내 응원팀은 아니기 때문에 기본적인 것들만 구입했다. 다른 팀들은 주방용품을 온라인에서만 판매하던데 카즈는 현장에서도 이렇게 팔고 있었고, 평소나 운동할 때 입고 다닐만한 의류들이 많았던 것 같다. 사실 이런 스포츠팀 의류같은 경우는 너무 그 팀의 것이라는 게 티가 나면 부담스러운 느낌도 있는데 여기는 티가 나도 괜찮은 물건들이 좀 보였다.
(I wanted to buy some goods in here, but I bought basic things because it's thing of my supporting team. Another team sales kitchen utensils only online, however Cards sold like this in team store, I thought there were clothes that can wear in normal or exercise life. Honestly in case of sports team's clothes like this, if it sticks out its things a lot, I feel uncomfortable, but I saw good things a little even if it sticks out.)

역시 야구의 도시답게 경기 전부터 많은 사람들로 붐비고 있었다. 물론 일요일이긴 했지만 이 날 비가 오락가락해서 날씨가 그닥 좋지는 않았는데도 그들에겐 별 문제가 되지 않는 것 같았다.
(There were many people before game as also baseball's city. Of course, it was on Sunday, even though it wasn't good weather, I thought it became a problem well so rained off and on.)

볼파크 투어 상품이 없는 낮경기라 나름대로 최선을 다해 부시 스타디움을 돌아봤다. 원래 유명한 음식들도 좀 먹고 그랬어야 하는데 사진을 찍다보면 그것도 귀찮아진다.
어쨌든 외야에서 본 부시 스타디움의 푸르른 잔디와 붉은색의 좌석들이 너무나 잘 매치되는 느낌이었고, 중계에서 본 것처럼 홈플레이트 뒷 쪽의 붉은색 벽돌도 꽤나 고풍스러운 느낌이 들었다. 외야 버드와이저 전광판 아래의 번호들은 영구결번된 번호일 것으로 짐작이 되었고.....
또한 중앙에서 찍은 부시 스타디움은 정말 매력만점이다. 세인트루이스의 상징인 게이트웨이 아치와 주위 다운타운의 고층 건물들이 버드와이저 전광판, 외야 관중석과 다른 외야 구조물들과 함께 조화로운 모습을 연출하고 있었다. 애초에 이걸 의도하고 건설한 것인지 부시 스타디움은 외부보다 내부가 더 아름다운 야구장인 듯 싶다.
참 카즈 팬들은 여러모로 유쾌하다. 그렇다고 시끌벅적한 것도 아니지만 삶을 즐기는 자세가 참 부럽다...!!! ^^
(I looked around Busch Stadium to do my best in my own away due to day game non ball park tour's program. Naturally I would eat a little famous foods, but it's tiresome about that when I take a picture.
Anyway it felt to match green grass and red seats of Busch Stadium in seen outfield much more, dark brown of behind homeplate pretty antique atmosphere like seen live broadcasting. I guessed numbers under Budweiser screen of outfield was Retired Numbers......
Also Busch Stadium in the center of infield is really charming. Gateway Arch symbolic St. Louis and high-rise buildings near downtown displayed harmonious view with Budweiser screen and outfield's seats and another outfield's structures. I think internal Busch Stadium is the more beautiful ball park than the outside whether it intents and builds at first time.
Ah, Cards' fans are funny in some ways. It did so, they aren't boisterous, but I really envy enjoy attitude for life...!!! ^^)

시티 가든을 돌아본 후 숙소로 돌아가는 길에 다시 들른 부시 스타디움과 볼파크 빌리지의 야경은 정말 아름다웠다. 역시 야경은 사람을 참 낭만적이게 만드는 것 같다.
세인트루이스의 마지막 날은 대부분 이 부시 스타디움 주위에서 보냈다. 한 경기밖에 못 봤다는 점은 안타깝지만 그래도 부시 스타디움과 세인트루이스 그리고 팬들의 매력은 꽤 많이 느끼고 온 것 같다. 동양인이 흔하지 않은 동네인지 그들이 더 좋은 인상을 주려고 노력했을지도 모르겠지만 어쨌든 그런 부분이 나에게 꽤 좋은 인상을 주었고 말이다. 너무 가야할 곳이 많아 이 곳을 다시 가기 어려울 듯 하지만 이 좋은 추억은 영원히 간직하고 싶다. ^.^

I almost spent time at near Busch Stadium in the last day of St. Louis . I was sorry to watch only a game, anyway I thought I came to feel Busch charm of Stadium and St. Louis and fans a lot. They would try to give better impression to me whether it wasn't many Asian in St. Louis, even though, the part gave pretty good impression to me. I don't think I will go here, again, however I'd forever like to treasure this good memories. ^.^)
