『한 여자가 에메랄드 빛의 해안을 보며 끝도 없이 펼쳐진 백사장을 조용히 걷고 있었다. 한 손에는 카메라를 들고, 다른 한 손으로 새하얀 솜뭉치처럼 보이는 몰티즈의 어깨끈을 쥐며 느릿느릿 그 사이를 가로지르고 있다. 때마침 붉은 석양이 드리우며 그녀의 발걸음을 멈추게 만들었고, 몰티즈와 함께 잠시 백사장에 주저앉아 수평선을 지그시 바라보며 카메라 셔터를 누르기 시작한다. 그 순간, 누군가가 다가와 그 둘을 넓고 든든한 어깨로 감싸주었고, 그렇게 그들은 따스한 속삭임을 주고 받으며 다시 백사장 한쪽 끝을 향해 걸어가기 시작했다.』
삶의 여유 그리고 자유를 꿈꾸다보면 항상 이런 모습들을 그리곤 한다. 바다, 해변, 강아지, 로맨틱한 풍경, 카메라 등등...... 아마도 인생의 축소판이라고 볼 수 있는 여행이란 단어가 나에게 그러한 여유로움과 자유를 안겨주는 주된 요소이지 않을까하는 생각이 든다. 지금으로선 미르를 다시 만날 수 없는 상황이지만 천국에서 나중에 미르와 재회하고, 사랑하는 사람과도 합류하게 되면 저런 따스한 풍경이 펼쳐질 것이라 믿어보며 이 글을 시작해본다.

Dreaming composure of life and liberty, I've always used to draw like this. Ocean, beach, dog, romantic view, camera, etc...... Maybe It seems a word 'travel' can speak microcosm of life is an element that gives composure and liberty like that to me. It's a situation can't meet Mir again for now, but if I meet with Mir later and also join with loved one in heaven, I believe I can see wonderful view like that and start to post this writing.)

상황이 상황인지라 가성비 좋은 여행을 계획하여 이번에도 가보지 못한 4군데의 야구장을 돌아보며 나름 관광지도 알차게 찾아다닐 수 있었다. 여행을 다녀온 이후 미국 동부와 중부, 서부 그리고 한국까지 짧은 기간 안에 넘나드느라 가뜩이나 약해진 체력이 더 떨어지면서 시차 적응에 애를 먹은 건지 아니면 건강이 많이 안 좋아진 것인지 확실한 이유는 알 수 없지만 병원을 수시로 들락날락할 정도로 아프기도 했다. 그래도 이 여행에 대해서 후회는 없는 것이 여행 중에는 아픈 적이 전혀 없었기 때문에 돌아오는 것 자체가 나에게 더 스트레스로 다가오지 않았을까 싶고, 이게 더 설득력 있는 요인으로 느껴진다.
항상 그래왔듯이 관광, MLB 볼파크, 야구, 정리글까지 이렇게 나눠서 기록해볼 예정이고, 30개 구장(도시까지)을 모두 돌아보고 참고 자료를 조금 더 축적한 이후 이 자료들을 가지고 나만의 책을 한번 만들어보고 싶다는 생각이 든다. 판매 목적이 아닌 내 스스로 만들어나간 역사 그 흔적을 남기기 위해서......
(I planned cost-effective travel so my situation isn't good, had looked around 4 ball parks where I have never gone this time and could worthily look tourist attractions as my idea. After going back from travel, I can't know sure cause whether weak strength gets lower and I couldn't adjust jet leg so I had gone all the eastern and central and western area of US within short time or my health got worse pretty much, I've been sick as frequently going in and out of hospital. But the reason that has no regret about this travel is what had never been sick in middle that time at all, I thought coming back here by itself gave any more stresses to me, I feel this is more reasonable cause.
As I did so, I'm going to write dividing to the part of sightseeing and MLB ball parks and baseball and ending story, I've thought I would like to make only my book for using these materials after I all go to 30 ball parks(including cities) and accumulate more reference materials. For leaving trace of the history that I have been creating by myself not purpose of sale......)
3. [2018 MLB TOUR(3)] 캐나다 최대 도시, 토론토 여행 - 토론토 아일랜드 (Toronto, The biggest city of Canada - Toronto Island)
[토론토 다운타운 야경(Night view of Toronto downtown)]
토론토의 야경을 볼 수 있는 포인트가 몇 군데 있는데 그 중에서 CN 타워 전망대와 토론토 아일랜드에 가려고 계획을 잡았었다. 하지만 역시나 피곤함이 나의 발목을 잡아서 CN 타워는 또 스킵하고, 토론토 아일랜드만 가기로 결정했다. 게다가 이 날부터 그 다음날까지 정선 언니가 합류하여 더 편안한 시간을 보낼 수 있었고 말이다.
(There are some points can look night view of Toronto, I had planned to go to observation of CN Tower and Toronto Island of the points. But I skipped going to CN Tower due to my tiredness and decided to go only Toronto Island. Besides my friend had decided to join with me for 2 days from this day, I could spend more comfortable time.)

이튼 센터는 토론토에 위치한 백화점 및 사무실 단지로 19세기에 티모시 이튼이 영 스트리트에 건물류 가게를 창업하여 캐나다의 소매업에 한 획을 그었고, 이를 계기로 백화점 체인으로 성장하였다. 20세기에는 구 토론토 시청과 성 삼위일체 교회를 제외한 영 스트리트, 퀸 스트리트, 베이 스트리트, 던다스 스트리트로 둘러싸인 땅을 매입하여 1977년 이튼 센터로 탄생한 것이었다. 시어스 백화점 외에도 패션, 잡화, 서점, 레코드샵, 초콜릿 전문점, 은행, 극장, 레스토랑 등 350여개의 점포가 있어 거의 모든 일을 이 곳에서 해결할 수 있다. 1991년 1월에는 토론토 메리어트 이튼 센터 호텔이 오픈하였고, 1층에는 관광 안내소도 있다.
사실 토론토 버스 터미널을 가는 도중 이 곳을 지나쳤는데 여태까지 갔던 쇼핑몰 중에서 가장 규모가 큰 것 같다. 아마도 내가 온라인 쇼핑을 즐기는 스타일이라 오프라인 쇼핑몰에 대해 잘 모를 수는 있겠지만 말이다.
어쨌든 경기가 끝난 후 맥북 맥세이프 어댑터와 이어팟을 구매하기 위해 애플 스토어를 가야했기 때문에 정선 언니와 잠시 이 곳에 들렀다. 언니도 사야할 화장품이 있어 몇 군데 돌아봤고, 토론토 아일랜드로 가기 전 이 곳에서 휴식을 취하면서 저녁을 해결하기도 했다.

In January 1991, Toronto Marriott Eaton Centre Hotel opened, it has a visitor center in the 1st floor.
Actually I passed this place in going to Toronto coach terminal, it seemed this one is the largest scale of the shopping centers where I have gone until now. But maybe it can't know well about off-line shopping malls so I often do shopping online.
Because I had to go to Apple Store for purchasing MagSafe adapter for MacBook and EarPods after ending baseball game, I stoped by here with my friend for a while. She should buy cosmetic, so we saw some ones, we took a rest and had dinner in this place before going to Toronto Island.)
[온타리오 호와 토론토 아일랜드 (Rake Ontario and Toronto Island)]
[토론토 아일랜드로 가는 페리와 시간표 (Ferry and timetable going to Toronto Island)]
우린 야경을 보기 위해 저녁 8시 30분 페리를 타기로 했고, 페리 터미널이 있는 하버 스퀘어 공원에서 해지기 전의 토론토 아일랜드와 온타리오 호수의 모습을 감상하였다. 주위도 좀 둘러보려고 했는데 강한 바람에 낮은 기온까지 한겨울로 느껴질만큼 추워서 몇 장의 사진만 찍고 후딱 페리 터미널 안으로 들어갔다. 여행 전에 캐나다나 미 북부 쪽은 좀 추울 수 있으니 담요라도 가지고 갈까 고민을 하다가 짐이 무겁기도 하고, 이제 봄이니 괜찮겠거니 생각하며 그냥 두고 왔는데 정말 이번 여행의 반은 추위로 벌벌 떨었던 것 같다.
밤 늦게까지 운행해서 야경 감상하기에는 더 없이 좋다. 이 다음날 오전 일찍 클리블랜드로 넘어가야 해서 약간 어중간한 시간에 이동할 수 밖에 없었던 것이 좀 아쉬웠는데 시간이 조금 더 있었으면 초저녁에 넘어가서 섬을 한 바퀴 둘러봤을 것이다. 페리 요금은 왕복으로 약 CA$8 정도였던 걸로 기억이 난다.
(We decided to ride a ferry 8:30 pm for watching night view, looked Toronto Island and Rake Ontario before sunset at Harbour Square Park where located ferry terminal. I thought to look around near the park, I took some pictures and quickly entered into ferry terminal such as winter had strong wind and low temperature. I had considered to bring even blanket so I thought it is cold in Canada and the north US before travel, but I thought right and didn't bring one so my luggage was so heavy and it was spring, however I remembered I really shivered with the cold a half of this travel.
It's so good to watch night view due to running ferry until late night. I was sorry a little bit that should move in ambiguous time cause we had to go to Cleveland in the early morning of the next day, we would take a turn at the island if it had enough time for us. I've been remembering fare of ferry was about CA$8 round trip.)
[토론토 다운타운의 석양 (Sunset of Toronto downtown)]
토론토 아일랜드까지 약 10분 정도면 도착하는 거리라 페리에서 내려 바로 석양을 담기 시작했다. 저녁 9시가 다 되어가는 시간이었는데도 불구하고, 여전히 해가 지지 않고 있었기 때문에 카메라의 조리개 수치를 좀 많이 조정했다. 어차피 다운타운으로 돌아가는 시간이 약 1시간 뒤였기에 사진을 찍을만한 시간은 많았고, 그렇게 시간대별로 해가 지는 과정을 거의 다 찍을 수 있었다. 문제는 너무 추워서 동상 걸릴 뻔 했다는 점...!!!
역시 야경을 찍으려면 삼각대 내지 모노포드라도 있어야 하는데 야구장이 반입 금지라 별로 쓸 일도 없는 모노포드를 가지고 갈 수가 없었다. 그래서 결과물이 약간 아쉽게 느껴진다.
(It's distance being able to arrive after about 10 minutes until Toronto Island, so I just got off from ferry and started to take photography sunset. Though it was almost 9:00 pm, I set aperture of camera a lot because sun hadn't still been gone down. It had enough time that can take some pictures so return time to downtown was behind about 1 hour, I could almost take photography a process to go down sun by time. The problem is what I almost suffered frostbite...!!!
If it takes a picture for night view, it should have triangle or monopod, but I didn't almost need it so it prohibits that these things bring into ball. Therefore I felt lacking a little bit.)
나름 최선을 다해 찍었는데 부족하게 느껴지는 건 어쩔 수 없는 것 같다. 일요일 밤이라 건물 창가에 켜진 불빛도 좀 적었던 것처럼 보이고, 추위에 손과 몸이 너무 떨려서 선명하게 나온 사진이 별로 없다.
아직 야경을 잘 찍기에는 내 스킬이 좀 많이 부족한 것 같고, 다음에는 더 잘 찍어볼 수 있도록 연구해봐야겠다! 그래도 여행의 클라이막스는 야경 감상이라고 그 목표를 달성하면서 이렇게 토론토에서의 마지막 밤을 마무리했다.
(Even though I took a picture doing my best, the outputs don't feel good enough. It seemed it wasn't enough light to turn on building's window due to Sunday night, there weren't really clear photos so my hands and body shivered a lot with cold.
Anyway I think my skill lacks a little more for taking night view, I'll study for taking photos well in the next time! But climax of travel is watching night view, I achieved the purpose and finished the last night in Toronto.)
