(Minute Maid Park : Home of the Houston Astros)

by ♥Elen_Mir 2017. 11. 9.

(To live on intense and arduous every single day, the reverse about it, I always close my eyes and imagine how I will live in the future. A small but comfortable and cozy my house, the second job that can live small on only me, bucket list to process in succession, I'm creating alive reasons one by one like this without Mir, I feel reckless and irresponsible by myself who executes this bucket list 'Korea-USA-Japan's baseball park tour' on the other side. Because travel isn't what I leave to have enough money.

However even though it comes back pendulum and returns to 2015 that has started this bucket list, I'd do the same selection over and over again. Sometimes I feel stupid by myself as much as that, I try to ignore this point with effort and write my cherished intentions about this travel.)

(So many people would wait this thanksgiving holiday of Korea. People who like travel as me were looking forward to this period since a few months ago cause it consisted of golden holiday of 10 days at least to combine thanksgiving day and some national holidays... Airlines ticket's price were expensive two to three times than regular day due to that and I was considering some things, I separately purchased round trip tickets of Korea-Japan and Japan-USA(Japan wasn't holidays) like this, I could save pretty much than the other people who went to USA by similar time. Of course, the bonus is what was so tired......)

(Actually I couldn't look around a lot of places cause by long travel range like that, so it seems a little quantity of photos than travels I have gone before, but I'm going to post 7 writing including Texas Rangers' game being my first favorite team-Japan baseball stadium and extra story-two ones of USA baseball park tour and postseason story-Grand Canyon tour-Dallas night view-travel completion, the next time, I'm scheduled to post all travel photos on this blog's album.)

(Minute Maid Park : Home of the Houston Astros)

0

(Minute Maid Park is home of the Houston Astros, was built retractable roof ball park. Originally they used Astro Dome before 2000, this place was Union station of Houston, it experienced financial difficulty due to flight development and was reborn Minute Maid Park. At first, ball park's name was Enron Field, Enron group went bankrupt after Enron scandal as many people know, this team has made naming contract with Minute Maid being subsidiary of Coca-Cola, it was called Minute Maid Park in succession.)

(Before entering)]

[복도(Hallway)]

(Backyard)]

(As soon as it enters into the ball park, I went out like this so it saw gate which can goes out, there was a small rest area of backyard feeling. Maybe I think it is carved monumental record of representative players this team on the 3 wide pillars(didn't see in detail), there are a small stage and seats as live bar, bronze statue and cute sculptures are making to decorate here. It seems it calls quietly alone for a minute or can deserve to enter enjoying contemplation while almost fans are watching baseball game in noisy ground in the middle game. >.<)

(The first floor hallway)]

(Legends mural of Houston Astros)]

(The first floor hallway)]

(Where is Altuve? ^.^)]

(Honda Club Level)]

(It was crowded with people here and there as festive mood. Of course, my team was this situation last year and two years ago, but I feel jealousy a little so that team is rival team of same division on the other side(they won world series in 2017...). But there is no end if it compares at each other, they are them, we are us, so I think we don't need to waste feeling in vain. I see how is my team going on and will give some scolding...

Anyway the evident thing in hallway of the first floor was legends mural. I don't know well their face cause I'm not a old MLB fan, I've heard Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio very much. Will it be a sure story so they are hall of famers...)

(The third floor hallway)]

(Outside seen in ball park)]

(The smoking area)]

(Outside view of ball park)]

(Finally I went up to the third floor where was my seat and put the atmosphere in my camera. The best thing in 3rd floor hallway was a part could look outside of ball park through transparent window due to the top location, I could see unique tidy view of downtown cause Minute Maid Park locates downtown of Houston in itself. Maybe if this game was night game, it would be prettier......)

(The view taking in left-right outfield)]

(A whole Minute Maid Park view taking middle-top seat of the third floor)]

(The train using home-run ceremony)]

(A whole view wasn't unusual as it is famous beautiful ball park. I got different feeling according locations to see as AT&T Park, that zone to protrude at outfield and fence structure of infield-outfield being pretty asymmetric were so specific, transparent window was installed only way to left fielder, but it didn't feel to be locked at all even thought it is retractable roof ball park whether it gets sunny straight.

It seems a whole shape is rectangle like Chase Field. It creatively arranges some structures near ground of diamond shape, spectator's seat arranges to match rectangle outline, I think roof's frame encloses angular arch style, it felt popular style in ball parks where was built at this time.

Besides there are several unique structures, train in left field blows its horn and goes ahead railroad when home players hit home-run, it seems to put vintage photos of players retired number in the cute circle to both side of letter 'Minute Maid Park' on the top of color screen. There's just national flag flagstaff behind Budweiser zone of center, installs fence making grasses in front of that, center fielders used to struggle to do defense very much cause it had a low hill to have slope of 30 degrees called "Tal's Hill" before. In fact, I know it isn't so long time so erase that low hill, anyway it is getting more comfortable to center fielders by this, it looks like landscape is getting tidier.)

(Scamp Orbit.. I know that he jests to Beltre and gets back everytime~~ >.<)]

(Doing home-run ceremony~~)]

(Rangers captain of my team is prankster, it looks like Orbit is similar. It can't predict who wins when they battled......

Orbit joyfully got around and joked whether it was postseason, he is pretty funny buddy. I think I don't go to Houston again, there won't be a change to see Orbit again, sometimes he goes away game to Arlington, I want to remain a photo to take with him.

I remembered Altuve and Bregman hit home-runs at each other, so train constantly has moved. To see that, I think train to make symbolically due to location being Union Station. What a create people~~!!!)

(Team Store)]

(I didn't all need to watch a game cause by not my supporting teams, I decided to look around team store with my companion before ending game. The thing that I always buy a baseball and mascot doll regardless of which ball park is my duty. There were a lot of memorable stuffs due to so large space, but I felt a little less a sort of products than Nats or Rangers. To think again, it seems Nats and Rangers have so much ones as being in top fifth. I've been to many ball parks, but I think I haven't almost seen the place having many stuffs than that both team's store......)

(Finally, schedule of Minute Maid Park all was over. The last schedule in Houston was what eat dinner with my companion, but I think to do here is really only ball park tour. So I thought I wanted to go here once again, but I don't want to go now cause by shocking case being this World Series. I can't forgive the player, however I can say to disappoint more to see racial behave of notionless some fans in this time to go to high-tech era......

It exists a little more racism as Houston so Dallas city is in Texas, because I've never experienced racial behave mocking freely face to face, never witnessed at all, I was shocked not a few,

Anyway I don't just like to go due to them, be that as it may, all good memories don't disappear. I was so good cause by seen incredibly wonderful and creative ball parks, was a satisfactory trip so facilities was clean and good. Besides tuna(rare condition) sandwich eating dinner in one restaurant was great delicious.)
